Wow.

Looking forward to seeing you again!!

Here's a start.

That's great that you are coming out again next year! You just want to win farthest distance travelled, right?
Well, it will be farthest distance via an airplane... unfortunately, just not enough time to ride out there on my own bike so will fly out and hopefully find a Spyder to rent/ride. I'll still go though even if I have to cage it!

Oh sure... everyone is looking forward to seeing Tyler again...

Actually, I'm looking forward to meeting her in person for the first time. By then we will be Team Purple Big Money Rally Champions!!

If I have enough vacation days, I'm coming to EOM just to say hi to my buddy rushes in person. The only other time we met was during a Hooterville event where some dog attacked our fine KY FJR rider. Hope to be able to make it!

And I would like to be able to make EOM so I can say hi to my buddy rushes in person, again.

Who knows, we might even see some Alabama wild life.

I go to California to meet people like Tyler while she leaves and goes to central USA to meet people from the East. Maybe we can connect thousands of miles from our homes. After all, Fred W and I live 12 miles apart but we had to go a thousand miles to WV to meet for a weekend.

I'd love it if Eric could be there too.

A fine Kentucky gentleman for sure.

ET... You out there?

You were one of the people I spent the weekend trying to find. The morning we were leaving I finally tracked down a number of people that I was looking for. Someone eventually told me that they thought they saw Rushes sneaking out the back door of the building, and finally, there he wuz.

The EOM organizers of the '08 event say that if there is someone you want to find, make arrangements before the event but don't expect them to baby sit you. It pissed me off a bit that they knew where several of the people were rooming but wouldn't tell me. These events are continual chaos (a good thing!) and finding people in a crowd of 140 can be difficult. Talking to people on Sat evening is like it never happened the next morning, after the FJR C2H6O mind wipe

So listen up here, if there are people you want to meet at these events, make arrangements in advance.

Don't see any rentals there but I'll give them a call next week and see if I can strong arm, um, I mean, work out a deal like I did at NAFO. :D

Me too... and damn straight, Skippy! ;)

This is shaping up nicely, Going to be hoot. I received my motorcycle Tour package today from good ole West Virgini. Haven't read it yet but it won't be long.

Just walk into the room, call out the person's name or screen name and find them... easy peasy. Although when I yelled out, "F*ck you, Bob!!" at NAFO you could hear crickets chirping... long story and evidently not everyone was in on the joke!

I thought it was very well done. I think the silence was because we never expected it from you. Now we know better.

It's always good to surprise people... ;)

Unless they're nervous and are carrying a gun. Then, not so much.

You can surprise me anytime, though! In fact, you usually do.

EDIT: Looks like I get to see Alan (and Helen?) if I can make it this year! Excellent!

Because I'm always interested making improvements...is there a suggestion somewhere in this to make it better? We do the name tags and lanyards for guests to wear and aid in identifying each other. I don't see a way to publish room numbers easily - those assignments are done at check in or just before. I'd not be a fan of having my room number published, others may have different opinions.

One option I do see as reasonable is to set up a sub forum on fjriders and restrict access to attendees of EOM, then those individuals could post room numbers or rally point info. I can do that on fjriders, we'd need to ask the admin staff here if they'd be willing to invest the time to set it up here. I could also set up a discussion type page of the EOM website, require log in's be created to access it, and run it completely separate from either forum.

Wayne, that's real nice of you to offer those options but, honestly, I think we're all big kids and can figure out a way somehow in this day and age to locate folks we'd like to meet & greet. If NAFO is any indication, there are several different places/times to do your networking and ask around for the people one would most like to meet in the flesh (so to speak... ;) ). You and the admins of both sites have plenty to keep you busy and I don't think we need to create more work for any of you. Just my $.02 and some change. B)
