Wow, what a day at work. It was one of those days where you just want to say "Phuket, I quit!". I didn't, I got through it, but if not for my wonderful wife Marie and my daughter in college, who needs money like air or food, I would have done just that today.

Maybe it's the anticipation of this upcoming trip, but I have lost all patience at work. I so look forward to getting on the road, and riding my bike. This trip couldn't have come at a better time for me. So if you see a guy in the parking lot, having too much fun, well, that'll be me.

Ok, rant over. Back to you regularly scheduled program.

Same thing usually happens to me for about a month before an upcoming bike trip. Monday through Wednesday probably won't be very productive either...****'m I'm going on vacation.

I coined a term for this in my business....we call it "pre-vacation mode".

Tough thing about being 1/2 self-employed.... You make your own schedule. Vacation scheduled for Thursday? Heck, might as well not schedule anybody for a few days prior to that.... "Pre-vacation mode" starts when I make the hotel reservations. That was back in February. Whoops.

Spent time today getting stuff together. This will be the first trip with my new Dry Spec bags and the 2015 bike. Went for a spin today, wonderful weather here at the beach. Bike seems good to go. The address for my motel is in the Zumo. Counting the days.

Looks like a little bit of rain in the forecast for next weekend @ EOM. Certainly no rainout or anything. Probably some light rain here and there on Saturday and Sunday. In that area, it's not uncommon to see some rain which seems to come out of nowhere and linger in the mountains. The Weather Channel has the forecast at about a 50% to 60% chance of light rain on Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday. No big deal. The forecast will most likely change a little every day from now until then. I'll be prepared in any event. It'll be a blast regardless of the weather.

I'll pack my rain gear that way it won't rain. If I didn't pack it, it would pour for sure! ;)

Yep! I washed, waxed and detailed it. It's all pretty and shiny now. It's All my fault.

Oh ****, it's gonna rain. Maybe hurricanes. Johnson City all over again. I guess we will have to reinforce Tyler and bring ALL our rain gear too. Did ya have to detail it too? ;)
