Just out of curiosity..... Does anyone have a room they want to part with for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday? I did not think I could make it but my schedule has changed and I now have enough time. The wife and I would like to come but it looks like everything is all full up!

Visited Wheels Through Time today. I missed it at the 2013 EOM. Also rode, for the first time on the FJR, Tail of the Dragon. Boy things have sure changed there since the 1980s when hardly anyone knew about US-129. It was 5 PM when we rode The Dragon so most of the photographers had packed up for the day. But Killboy did still have one working and so did 129 Slayer so hopefully there will be some photographic evidence.
On the way back to the timeshare in Banner Elk we got caught in a deluge in the dark. When you lose the ability to see the road, riding in the rain, in the dark really SUCKS!!! We never would have found our way back if we didn't already know exactly where we were trying to go. I hope we don't get rain that bad at EOM.
The good news is now my motor is all washed in preparation for EOM.

Prolly gonna be a Wednesday evening / Thursday morning decision.
But Woovis slapped a new front PR2 on for me and I finally got the wheel reinstalled last night, so the bike is as ready as it needs to be!

Is the parking lot party going to still be going Thursday night about 11:30 or so????
I have the dilemma of pulling in that late or waiting until the morning to ride into Lewisburg. Problem is I cannot leave here until 3PM central time. Basically it is about 520 miles to Lewisburg. I will not worry about falling asleep as I am a late night person anyways. The thing that scares me a little is the wildlife in the last few hours to EOM.
If I lay up somewhere before it gets real dark, I will be wasting half a day riding by myself into Lewisburg. What would you all do??? I do not have aux lights but my HIDs do a good job. I have ridden plenty in the dark, but not in WV or SE Ohio. Is it bambi wonderland there?? I will be on the interstate 90% of the time.
I am tempted to push through. Just tailgate near a big rig and go as slow as I need to go. Especially if the parking lot is alive and well. You know, worth the trip!!
What would you do?? Lay up short in a cheapo hotel somewhere along the route, or champion on and get the party started on Thursday night???
