Apology accepted (of course).
And I know Mike's intentions are always the best. The donation box is a fine idea. As is raffling stuff off, which can be great fun as well as collecting big amounts of $$$.
To explain my original point just a bit further, last year there was a fake 50/50 raffle setup and a line was setup at the entrance to the banquet dinner Saturday night. It was highly successful at collecting a nice sum of money for the cause that year. At the time I remembver thinking it was a wonderful idea. But some people voiced concerns that they felt somewhat obligated to make a "donation" because of the way it was set up. The cause that year was one that was (is) near and dear to my heart, as it is this time. And I was glad to have been able to donate. But I don't want others to feel obligated. We all need to remember that this is primarily an FJR rally event.
Hopefully that clarifies my concerns and we can go on with the planning.
I'm looking forward to meeting both you (reaper) and Mike at EOM. Is it September yet?
(PS - I think sending a few of the pickled "fruit of the year" to Tyler would surely her spirits, in more ways that one!
