I'm afraid I'm not gonna make it. Just realized, like a doofus, that my daughter has a soccer game in the AM. Priorities demand that I hang there instead of the tech meet
Time for the Fall gathering, bench racing and tech day.
Saturday October 13th at my house again. (If you haven't been here, PM me and I'll send you the address) Starting at 9 AM going until 5 PM.
here will be a swap meet also. Bring your stuff you want to trade or sell.
Try to keep in mind if you are doing something that takes a lot of time, that it may not be the best place to do it. Some have tried to do a cruise control install for the first time and have not been able to finish.
Topics suggested so far are:
Grounding system
Tire changes (I have a No-Mar) for those who need to
TBS
PAIR system block off
Various electrical and electronic additions
Brake system flush - please RSVP this (Seattle Ty, FJokeR07
We are limiting the number of valve checks to 2. Sign ups are first come first serve
Valve checks:
1. Biker skier (gen I)
2. Low and silent (gen II)
The valve check folks will need to be here early (8 AM ) so their bikes can cool down and get the bike stirped down and ready.
Bring pictures and DVD for bench racing in the movie room
If you are traveling some distance and need a place to stay, there are a couple of motels within 5 miles (La Quinta Inn and a Pepper Tree Best Western).
Lunch - snacks, hamburgers, hot dogs, salad and soda (please donate $5 to the cause), bring your own beverages for stronger stuff.
Attendees: (Please RSVP that you are coming for a head count on the food)

Now here I thought the tools being referred to were Brian, Marcus, Dave, Dave, Dave, etc., etc.Would you like the rusting dull knife? Or the rusty sharp one? Got a MAP gas torch to cauterize withThat just made me pucker- and I mean everything puckered. LOL.Duane,OK, Barry wins for most creative excuse for skipping.
Dave, you dare call manhood into question?! Fine.
I will ride down tomorrow...on my mountain bike...towing a horse trailer with Barry's wine starter kit inside.
That man enough?
I can throw in a quick vasectomy this afternoon if it'll prove the point for ya...
We can do the vasectomy at Brian's, we have all the tools we need.
I have a set of iridium Ngk on hand you can use1350096236[/url]' post='1006808']Well...today was eventful! Drove to Chehalis in the pouring rain to meet up with my father-in-law, who picked up the parts I need for tomorrow down in Portland, to make a trade. The FJR parts for my wife. Seemed like a fair trade to me. Done!
Got back home then remembered I'd need new oil and anti-freeze. Cool. Back out to pick up those. Oh, wait...G said that I'd also need two more pints of fork oil. Back past home to EPS to get that.
Finally! Home...I can rest! :yahoo: It's now about 5:45 PM or so.
Come 6:15 it dawns on me that I am missing something. Fresh spark plugs.
Auto Zone. Nope. O'Reilly's. Nada. Nada. Nada...NAPA!!! I call the first store and the guy checks. Nothing. Before I can ask him to check other stores he hangs up. Okay, I check with the next closest store. They have one! That won't help. But the lady is nice enough to check other stores for me without asking and says that the Bellevue store has 8! But they close at 7:00 PM. A glance at the clock confirms the time: 6:31 PM. Google puts travel time at 25 minutes door to door.
Following the fastest gear-up I've ever done, I boogie on down to Bellevue NAPA and waltz in the door at 6:54 PM. The guy confirms my selection, walks back to get the stuff and shouts back that their computer inventory must have been wrong. They only had four in stock. Four...that's all I need! :yahoo: Just a heads up...Bellevue doesn't have any CR8EIX spark plugs anymore.
Auburn...today almost made me bust into my "thank you" gift to you.

That one inch mic is might be a tad big don't you think!Rifling through the toolbox tonight putting the tool kit together. Didn't realize Duane's vasectomy was on the agenda...I'll bring a rusty scalpel, hemostats and a 0 - 1" mic along too! Someone else is going to have to step man up and perform the procedure though
Looking forward to tomorrow, it'll be a blast!

Thanks for hosting this event Bryan. I had a great time.
I hope that trip works out for SacMike as I contributed to the idea. There is some great riding over there but the season is rapidly coming to a close. I suggested he watch the snow level over there in NE Oregon - I hope he remembers that. This morning the forecast is for a snow level of 3500 feet this coming Saturday.
