I decided a couple days ago to take a spur-of the-moment ride to get in one more trip before winter--well, Sacramento winter, but still. . . Bike's all loaded and I'm ready to go in the morning. I'll be doing some camping and pretty much wandering, and now I'm 93% sure I'm going to be dropping in on this party too. Won't be working on the bike, but I'll be glad to "help" any of you with your mechanical chores (I'll hold your beer while you do it). Anyway, look forward to seeing the folks I know, meeting the folks I don't. Maybe I'll even win the long-distance award. What is it? :p

You a have a PM. The last long distance winner brought me a bottle, though we did a valve check for him. Hopefully you are able to make it.

I might be getting to this a bit late. If all the stars line up I'll be dropping my bent rim off in Renton at 9:00 on the way down at the repair shop.

I'll also have to leave early to pick it up and make it to my son's Jesse place as he is taking me to see Bob Dylan and Martin Knopfler that night! :yahoo:

Time for the Fall gathering, bench racing and tech day.

Saturday October 13th at my house again. (If you haven't been here, PM me and I'll send you the address) Starting at 9 AM going until 5 PM.

here will be a swap meet also. Bring your stuff you want to trade or sell.

Try to keep in mind if you are doing something that takes a lot of time, that it may not be the best place to do it. Some have tried to do a cruise control install for the first time and have not been able to finish.

Topics suggested so far are:

Grounding system

Tire changes (I have a No-Mar) for those who need to

TBS

PAIR system block off

Various electrical and electronic additions

Brake system flush - please RSVP this (Seattle Ty, FJokeR07

We are limiting the number of valve checks to 2. Sign ups are first come first serve

Valve checks:

1. Biker skier (gen I)

2. Low and silent (gen II)

The valve check folks will need to be here early (8 AM ) so their bikes can cool down and get the bike stirped down and ready.

Bring pictures and DVD for bench racing in the movie room

If you are traveling some distance and need a place to stay, there are a couple of motels within 5 miles (La Quinta Inn and a Pepper Tree Best Western).

Lunch - snacks, hamburgers, hot dogs, salad and soda (please donate $5 to the cause), bring your own beverages for stronger stuff.

Attendees: (Please RSVP that you are coming for a head count on the food)

...and looks like it'll be a rainy day, too... :(

Oh geeze Louise. What? It rained like .00001" and no one can ride now? 80 days of sunshine and you all get your man card taken away? Shoot, i don't think I will be able to get my bike through the parking lot, maybe I will go to a Harley ride instead. I think maybe one of those ladies isn't afraid to get out.

We got the call from our grape supplier- the grapes wait for no one. Picking up 1000lbs of Western Washington Cabernet on Saturday. I will miss everyone, but will have a bottle of homebrew wine for next time. Cheers- Barry.

OK, Barry wins for most creative excuse for skipping.

Dave, you dare call manhood into question?! Fine.

I will ride down tomorrow...on my mountain bike...towing a horse trailer with Barry's wine starter kit inside.

That man enough?

I can throw in a quick vasectomy this afternoon if it'll prove the point for ya...

Would you like the rusting dull knife? Or the rusty sharp one? Got a MAP gas torch to cauterize with ;)
