+1 Proper prep, clamps and glue - 10,000+ miles. If it falls off after 15 or 20 thousand miles, buy another one and reinstall. Not that big a deal. If the wheel came off with it, then that would be a concern.

Decent prep job, lotsa glue, hand clamping for 20 minutes, let rest overnight.
