I've always had V or parallel twins in either cruiser or standard guise. The FJR is my first 4 and first Sport tourer. I looked at the BMW (too expensive) and the Connie(nice machine) and the ST1300(as usual typical Honda over pricing). I hadn't considered the FJR because I thought they only came with the electronic clutch. When I found out you could get one with the standard clutch I stopped by a local dealer to take a look. I'd settled on a Connie at that point but 15 minutes around the FJR and I knew it was my new bike. One of the main things that sold me on it was it seemed to be finished better that the Connie.

Anyway I haven't regretted buying this bike one moment. It is easily the best bike I've ever owned. I traded in a Road King for it and the difference is so huge it's night and day.

I still and always will love my Triumph which I'll NEVER get rid of. But my FJR is my new love!

Were you at Big Boys Toys on 89?
I have only been there once. I test rode the Cross Country at a dealer in Centerville, UT. I went to Big Boys looking for the 2010 Concours as well, but with the economy dealers aren't stocking touring bikes since they aren't in high enough demand. I was surprised since you'd think with the mountains and scenery around UT that Sport-Touring bikes would fly off the floor.
