I figured out the fuel economy on the bike vs. the cost of tires every 10K made it a wash over taking the econobox, but I'd miss the power to weight ratio. We're good with the getting drunk part. You're buying, right? All that money you didn't spend on gas will pay for the drinks!I finally made 50K on my 2003,
Thanks to this forum for all the help!
Maybe I'll actually get to go to WFO this year and get drunk with my FJR brothers!
Gonna have to have SkooterG upgrade me to the next level in a few days. I'll pass 150k on my way home from OK on Monday.
Congrats Eric!Ok SkooterG, add me to the 150k list. here's the photo I took today on the way home from Pagosa Springs, CO. Now sitting at over 150,200 in the garage.
Thanks Greg. Nothing says heterosexual like riding through snow, sleet, hail, rain and horizontal winds of blowing dust and debris. It makes the bike run better, I tell 'ya. My bike was gay once, the day I picked it up. That only lasted about 20 miles or so and it's never been gay since.Congrats Eric!
And I must say, your bike is most certainly hetersexual!
I thought someone had posted a picture of my FJR's dash until I saw 221miles on the trip odo and there was still over half a tank of gas. My gauge would have been flashing for a while by that mileage.Ok SkooterG, add me to the 150k list. here's the photo I took today on the way home from Pagosa Springs, CO. It's a crime, that ethanol crap. I filled up in P.S. and got non-ethanol gas. That fill took me 485 miles before reserve, and would have gone farther if I hadn't had 3 gallons of E-10 already in the tank when I filled. I rode from Pagosa Springs, CO to Ivins, UT on one fuel fill. I like having 11.5 gallons on hand! B) Even on the stock tank I regularly saw 270-300 miles from a tank before we got stuck with the E-10 blend.I thought someone had posted a picture of my FJR's dash until I saw 221miles on the trip odo and there was still over half a tank of gas.
