Still lonely in the 200k list. Isn't anybody going to put their big-boy pants on and step up? :D

Ok, Skootie,I need a rule clarification..

Does the 200k require OEM as-bought OEM gear all the way?

I now have a transplanted engine in kRzY8,so,to me, I'm out of the running.

At least that's my opinion..

Maybe an asterisk in the listing to denote the bike ain't the OEM factory stuff or sumthing?

Do club members get to vote?

New engine old bike, is okay with me. Go by the odometer not engine. You are just keeping it going.

And what is this kRzY8?

I know that my opinion doesn't count for much in the high mileage club (I'm still at a paltry 65k miles) but I think that any bike that is still running and racking up miles should count. Sure you could put an asterisk next to any that have had an engine transplant, but the bike is still a functional bike and it's worth noting that you can ride one of these things as far as you can.

Hey Guys,

Replacement motor miles count. See the existing list:

03silverbullet (2003) FJR crashed and totaled at 168,900. Engine blown at 100k, replaced with used motor.

Patriot (2004) Original motor replaced at 93k after CCT failure grenaded motor.

Douggie gets the Bozo Button for reading comprehension!!!

Ya know, I know of another 04 FJR rider out there who has joined me in the Cool Kids Klub (200k), but for some reason won't post up. I guess he doesn't like me and wants to keep me lonely! :(

He posts all the time on Sport-Touring.net and has it listed in his signature there.

I think he just isn't into the fjr forum anymore...

mxvet - I know I've seen him on here before. Guess he's more of a casual visitor.

I need to ride more...all I do these days is commute (though I did rack up 1000 miles over New Years...). My 08 is sitting just shy of 34K or so (I think) and the ST just rolled over 2K today, and I've had it since August! Of course, last year, I did about 60K riding an airline seat...

Well now! :yahoo:

If transplanted engines *do* count then I'm off to reach the magical 200k mark. From a previous post,

UPDATE - Doing the math, I need 90,470 on this odo for 150k.
However, being the AR I R, the peeps that make 200k with original, OEM supplied engine and frame are the true heroes.

The rest (like me, lowly Candy Butt Association peeps) are mere posers.

IMHO, of course - and that's why my new goal is 1 million miles on bikes I currently own.

Now that would be worth CBA bragging rights!

Am I still a "Slacker" if I saw this on bike #1 today?

P4270437.jpg

Yes! You are still a slacker. You just happen to be an IBR winning slacker. :D

I mean for crying out loud! The bike is 12 years old! That's *only* 14,800 miles per year average. Slacker, slacker, slacker!

And I don't want to hear any whining about how you've also been riding the FJR, or that Minnesnowta has a limited riding season. Geeze! Kids these days!

But you're still my hero.
