Brown County State Park in South Central Indiana.

Poulsbo, WA on the way to pick up the new (to me) 2016 FJR1300ES.

Hard plastic panel flying off the back of a passing truck in Wyoming. Clipped my left shoulder and the dry bag strapped to the back of the bike. The driver was oblivious.


What the camera lens sees when passing through a snowstorm on a mountain top.


Pulled off at a shopping center to let the ice melt off the bike and me.


Stopped to see the scenery, stretch and check out the dirty snow.


Stopped in Jackson Hole, WY. Cool little town!

The Mackinac Bridge connecting Michigan's Upper and Lower peninsulas.


Crossing the Straights of Mackinac. The left lane is a metal grate that you can look down and see the water below...WAY below. They caution motorcycles not to use the left lane; I couldn't resist.


Frankenmuth is a German settlement near Flint, MI. Very tourist-y.


Trying to decide which roads to run wild on in KY and TN.

Next up? The Grand Canyon. It is indeed Grand!


On to Yellowstone.


Didn't see any deer but this fellow was merrily grazing.


Between Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons somewhere...


The Solsberry Trestle in Southern Indiana. Completed in 1906. Still in use. Just kidding.


The National Motorcycle Museum. If you want to check it out, you'll have to hurry, closing permanently on Sept 5th COB.


This guy and I passed each other multiple times travelling across IL and IA on the way to the NMM.


Next stop? Devil's Tower, WY. Lots of positive energy here.

Good stuff and good pics. You must be trying to see how often you can burn through a set of tires. Mine is more of a garage queen than I would like but it's not a lot of fun to ride when its 106 every day.

I have been to all those places on my FJR. Including snow flurries through Columbia Icefields in late June and torrential rain in Meat Cove NS.

My father-in-law was my riding buddy. He was riding a 2015 R1200RT. We did the Columbia Ice Fields in late July of 2018. We rode on up to Jasper after leaving the Icefields and got stopped at a traffic light right at the turn in to the hotel and it started pouring rain. We were completely soaked by the time we got to the front of the hotel.
The Nova Scotia trip was in mid to late August of 2019. We bugged out a day early as the forecast was for up to 3 inches of rain the next day.
My father-in-law turned 80 in 2019. The NS trip was his last big trip and later that year quit riding. I haven't been on another epic trip since. Sure do miss those adventures.

Agreed, you have to ride really fast and not stop at traffic lights when it is that hot here in north Texas. And even then, it is pretty uncomfortable.

That one was about 13 days. I wasn't in any hurry; just out sight-seeing.
