Thanksgiving Day of 2004, at the very tip of Baja California, Mexico. Our Thanksgiving Feast had no turkey served at all: Lobster, shrimp, clams, octopus, oysters and freshly caught sea bass was our Menu for that Day; with side orders of rice, beans, corn and flour tortillas; washed down with just enough delicious Mexican Beer so that we could ride safely back to our hotel 20 miles away! Left to Right: Greg "SkooterG" Marbach, "Fast" Eddie Quarles, Don "BeemerDonS" Stanley and Chuck "Frenchie" Doucet.

This FJR Milestone is so important to me because it started a 7+ year friendship with my riding Buddy SkooterG, since then Greg and I have gone on hundreds of multi-day rides and have logged thousands upon thousand of miles together! Since the passing of my high school pal Cy Noel, Greg's my very Best Friend!

Got the FJR April 1st 2007

First trip on the FJR was Memorial weekend 2007, rode 15 hrs of backroads from Brunswick, Ohio to Norfolk, Virginia. 9 hrs of slab for the return trip 2 days later.

Did the last Cats & Daks ride...it was a little wet for about the last 200 miles on Saturday. Stayed with Tim(Tim05fjr) & Cheryl in their cottage. Had a great time

Several SE Ohio Rambles, got to meet/ride with many great people.

AUTOSHOW011.jpg

Both of Wheaties Appalachian camping trips, again had a great time & met lots of new friends.

Several camping trips down to WV to ride with Jim(spklbuk) and the usual suspects that hang out in that area.

WVcamping003.jpg

And in 2011 I made it to my first EOM...and got to enjoy a cigar along with MEM.

Lookin forward to next year and beyond :yahoo:

Hmm...

OK - I'll play.

April 18, 2008 I bought my '04.

FJR1300_4.jpg

Memorial Day weekend, 2008. Sooze and I took our first overnight motorcycle road trip, going to SW Pennsylvania. We packed more crap on that trip than we do nowadays. Live and learn...

IMG_1375.jpg

Labor Day weekend, 2008. Sooze and I took our first multi-night motorcycle road trip, going to the Finger Lakes region in New York.

LaborDayweekend2008217.jpg

A couple of weeks later, we take our second multi-night motorcycle road trip.

EOM 2008.

FJREOM08042.jpg

There were a lot of FJRs there.

FJREOM08128.jpg

October, 2008. We take a ride down to Kentucky for a family event. We take some time away for a ride with Jaegmeister. I am schooled on just how ****** of a rider I really am.

October08075.jpg

January 1, 2009. I take my first-ever ride on January 1. Damn it was cold...

IMG_2334.jpg

May, 2009. SFO in Eureka Springs, AR. It rained for 3 damn days straight.

P5010091.jpg

Odot provided the entertainment.

P5010093.jpg

Forgot a rain hat? Not a problem for an FJR rider.

P5020101.jpg

After SFO, Sooze and I headed over to Tulsa, OK, for visit Sooze's brother. Then we rode Route 66 all the way to Chicago. Our first Route 66 Roadside Attraction: The Blue Whale.

SFOandRoute66May09123.jpg

A few weeks later, Sooze and I got married in May. For our honeymoon, we hopped on the FJR and rode to New England for a week or so. We were joined by my dad and my dad's brother-in-law. Among the places we visited was Sag Harbor, New York, to see Jordan's bridge. The Axeman himself came and met us and gave us a guided tour of the Hamptons.

NewEnglandJune09Sony104.jpg

Labor Day, 2009. We head north. We have overnights at Casa de Bustanut Joker and Sault Saint Marie. Bust, me and Wayne (extrememarine). Howie had managed to grenade the engine in his FJR and was being grumpier than normal at the time, so I made a sign for him.

LaborDaytrip09003.jpg

Yeah. Be afraid.

LaborDaytrip09007.jpg

After surviving THAT ordeal, a couple of weeks later we were off to EOM 2009 in Johnson City, TN. It rained a wee bit, and this was the first and only time when I followed Bungie and we actually didn't go in circles OR get lost.

EOM09170.jpg

Some brain cells MIGHT have been sacrificed for the greater good.

EOM09203.jpg

After EOM, we headed over to Charlotte, NC, for a couple of nights visiting friends and doing touristy ****.

EOM09327.jpg

June 2010. While saving our vacation for an epic trip out west on the Harley, we did take a week and headed to Quebec for CFR 2010. Yamafitter caught this picture of us.

DSC_0058.jpg

And I caught this picture of Bust. It's his best side.

DSC07663.jpg

September 18, 2010. FJR Tech Day I at Bustanut Joker's place.

IMG_0043.jpg

A week or so later, NAFO 2010 in Knoxville, TN.

April 8, 2011. FJR Tech Day II at Casa de Bustanut Joker.

DSC00208.jpg

Bust had a tearful reunion with Dolly. It was really touching. So to speak...

I been a couple places, but mostly nearby.

A coastal tour of some nearby scenic roads:

Sunset1024.jpg

Oh, wait. The supposedly "Christian" woman in the picture left me for a supposedly "Christian" man, from our own church, whom she'd been with for months before I knew about it. Not that I'm bitter or anything, but what's so hard to understand about "THOU SHALT NOT . . .???!!!?!?!" So here's the corrected photo:

sunset1024Bikeonly.jpg

First time I saw Patriot's bike, but didn't know it was his. Left a "You on the forum?" note, and got one back on my bike when I came back outside. I met isabella before I met Patriot! This is at the Museum of Naval Aviation aboard Pensacola NAS.

Me meeting Patriot at the battleship Alabama park. Note the 3-year-old road rash on the side bag. Chicks dig scars.

Well, I don't get out on the road very often, :p but here is a small sampling of some of my FJR experiences.

My first EOM, 2006, Grumpy and my daughter Deena enjoying their WFO hats.

SWFOG, Don enjoying a Sipaburger. I think he had been looking forward to that burger for a loooong time. ;)

Umm, do I really want to go down that road? Well, I did and it got very challenging very quickly. I eventually turned around and found a paved road.

Good photos Greg...I believe we first met in June 2006 when you and your daughter rode on Yamaholic's WV Ramble.

Your picture of Grumpy is a good reminder of who to pray for...he just having had that very serious accident... Rider down - Grumpy
