I like proposal 3(?) above, but wonder about the shirts with just the text and no picture? I personally would vote for both - but done subtly - not a 12 x 12 across the back!

Okay. That's done. Are we ready to move ahead?

That's what I'm talking about!

How much detail are we going to lose when it's smaller?

Is there any way to post it closer to its actual size? I s'pose I could copy it to my computer and then print it at a reduced size.....

The image on the sticker is 3.25" tall. I think it will work out pretty well. I got away with a pretty thin font on the stickers for our rally team gear.

I guess we won't really know until we see one in person, but I went ahead and put a sticker (and a few other things) up on the fjr cafepress web site so you can see how they look. I just added a message asking folks not to order them yet.

The sticker is near the bottom. Right above it is a cap with the non-photo logo (photos don't work well there). Farther up, there's a ringer t-shirt with the photo logo and an embroidered denim shirt with the other one. All the prices showing right now are with zero markup -- that's the cafepress base price.

But how about a birthday present, Mike? PM a snail mail address to me and I'll have a prototype sticker shipped to you. You can be the proud owner of the first Turbodave sticker in existence, and you can let me know if the design flies.

Diggin' the khaki hat! Glad you went w/ Khaki & the unstructured crown, they develope a good slaunch over time & are comfy [stuff into pockets better too], & just get better lookin' the more "seasoned " they become!

Hey Nubile Nude Dude, nice superimposing job!

Way to go FNG!. I was thinking about blending out the window in the background and making it solid white. Yosemite Falls is even better!

How does everyone else feel about this?

Squeezer, can we make this, or another, change? Does the design get finalized at some point, or because it's "build-on-order" can we keep tweaking it perpetually (not that we'd want to)?

Had a few minutes today and wanted to learn how to replace a background in PhotoChop and thought this would be the perfect image to play with (I really love this image of Dave and the layout designed for it but was not a big fan of the window in the background).

I do *NOT* have permission from the photographer to use the Yosemite image but here is his website if folks like it and want to seek permission for the design. https://garyjean.zenfolio.com/

Thanks to Duff for turning me onto Gary's incredible work! And can you believe his Yosemite image was taken AT NIGHT?! What an incredible photographer!

Squeezer, you probably already know how to do that sort of background edit but if not, PM me and I'll send you the instructions I ran across today.

Yeah. It looks great. FNG -- there's a PM on the way.

Technically, we could. But, please, have mercy. I'm more of a let's-finish-this-and-go-on-to-the-next-project kind of guy.

By the way, I really like the hat too. But I'm thinking about dumping the denim shirt. I'm not real pleased with how the embroidered patch looks. Anybody think they might want one of those?

EDIT: Hang on. We're giving the waterfall thing another shot. We've had one vote to nix the waterfall so far and a few in favor. Anyone else have an opinion on that?

I stuck a few more products on the web site for folks to look at while we're waiting. I think it looks like a good set of stuff. Please hold off on ordering until we're done dickering with it. As before, all the prices showing are cafepress base prices. There's no markup.

Any updates on the status of the sticker, hats, etc??
There are a few things to report:

1. Someone was still playing around with putting the waterfall behind the photo of you, Dave. I'm not sure what the status of that is.

2. I dropped a PM to slapnpop earlier today to ask if he minds us using "fjrforum.com" in the logo.

3. Even though I haven't had a thumbs up from the group, I've ordered a hat and a sticker just to do quality control. They should arrive sometime next week. I'll let you guys know if I think they look okay. I'm still a bit concerned about how the photo will look on the shirts. It would be nice if someone planning to get one of those would order now and let me know if they fly or not.

4. I added a few more shirt choices and one product to the web site that's sure to be a universal hit: the official Vintage Riders thong.

My own feeling is that if slapnpop gives the okay on using the forum address in the logo, we should stop messing around with it, go with the designs we've got, and let folks order what they want. I'm just one vote, though. Does anyone have any objections to that?

Keep the waterfall...please!
At the moment, I can't. The jpeg with the waterfall posted by FNG above, though very nice, has a resolution that is too low to use.

What we need is someone to stick the waterfall into the .png file I'm using for the photo. I understand that's a fairly simple thing with the right software, but I don't have that software anymore. If someone with Photoshop skills wants to give it a go, let me know and I'll get the files to you.

I have, in fact, sent the file to other folks. I don't know if they're working on it. There's a reasonable chance that we're sitting here waiting on something that isn't coming. I guess our real question is: How long do you want to wait to see if it will show up?
