Thanks All! It was quite a journey dealing with the engine prior to the rally and then having my regulator going bad during leg 3.

Just a note that I'm going to close this 2017 thread, but do expect us to host a similar forum official thread for the 2019 Iron Butt Rally. At the time of this post the riders have known details for some time and made hotel reservations, Premier Members were just sent a newsletter with pertinent information, and the IBA staff will make the details public in "the coming weeks". This will includes specific dates and the locations of the start, any checkpoint(s), and the finish. Those points (when announced) will also be open and encouraged for LD riders to visit--especially if its your first IBR experience.

And as always, the Iron Butt Rally will be focused on the hundred or so riders actually competing the event. Their success, safety, and return to the finish are always the most important thing.

.....and hopefully, we'll have the special privilege again of being able to have a virtual seat to watch this adventure.
