I.m still waiting on shop heater parts, and it's getting cold in Iowa,so color coat is on hold until I can get heat up and running. I thought these primer pics might hold you for a few days.

Very nice work! I wouldn't mind seeing this project in person.

Bogie, It will be at every Grand National Dirt Track race around the midwest next year ,starting with Daytona in March. I have blue paint in hand,so hopefully, there will be "on the bike" pics soon. Where about in Iowa are you?

That looks so... so original tankage! Been watching your thread & have not commented thus far. That is absolutely some of the best ingenuity that I've seen. Cannot wait to see the finished product, Heidi

Simply outstanding. The craftsmanship is a work of art.

Hope you have an apprentice, someone needs to learn that skill and be able to pass it down.

Have enjoyed watching the project for sure.

I too have been watching the progress of this tank. You should give yourself a big pat on the back for an impressive job; you increased tank capacity while maintaining good looks. It looks very OEM! Congrats!

Holly cow, what a great tank you have there now. I would not be interested in a secondary external tank setup, but I would be in a bigger one like yours, especially when it looks this OEM. Have you thought about making this into a product if you get enough interest? Just thinking out loud!

Congrats :D

I'm just a hop skip and a jump away in Marion. Would love to come see it for myself when you get it painted and on.
