As of Today, Motion CycleSports had 4 06 FJR1300A's in stock!!! 1 on the Floor and 3 still in crates.

Best I could get on one was 13,800.00 OTD, that includes TT&L Just in case anyone was intrested!!!

Yep it seems this is going to be a common sighting. More and more dealers are now ordering for themselves in one way or another. Waiters no more, just instant gratification.

I took the SO in on Sat. and she liked it better than the Honda ST-1300. one of the biggest reasons was the bags on the ST hit here calf while sitting. And the Seat on the FJR was more comfortable!!! BTW, I am getting mine from Tony!!! :)

I think these may have gone up in price, since I posted this. I called yesterday, to see about one for a friend out of state. I was quoted $13,500 OTD, and that price did not include TT&L since it was an out of state purchase!

Smart move. Not only is he a lot cheaper ($12,910 including TTL for me) but he also sells alot of FJR's and knows how to set them up right. I didn't have any of the set up problems (like loose mirrors) that other folks have.

WOW! I am feeling better and better about getting my FJR1300AE for ~$14,100 OTD from my local dealer!

Best Regards,

I was quoted $13.9K OTD with TTL yesterday.

My question is this: what if any issues does this "dealer orders it for a fictional name" deal pose for the actual buyer? I was told that the only issue would be the warranty would be initially registered in another name but that would transfer to me in two months. Sounds a bit fishy...

Just to refresh everyone's memory, that was my bike that had the loose mirrors and mine came from Tony too. Not only were they loose but the right side is missing a bolt. So it vibrates pretty bad riding and you can't really see outta of it. If my local dealer won't replace it under warranty when I take it in this week, then I'll be contacting Tony to make it right and I have no doubt that they'll take care of it.

Not more than 10 minutes ago I bought a 2006 FZ1 over the phone with a local dealer. Having a money crunch so went with the cheaper bike (they had one in stock). (wait):

Ok, just got off the phone with the other dealer I had the AE orderd through...wont give me my 500 back. Pretty sweet deal for them...sell the AE at list and make another 500 on top of that.

Well folks, it's been a long ride. I started on these forums in March of 05. I held off buying an 05 FJR on the floor because the dealer told me to wait for all the great changes that would be on the 06. I have certainly learned alot, especially since scoping this forum for last 10 months (?). Thanks to all for the vast wealth of knowledge I have picked up and who knows...there maybe an FJR somewhere down the road for me yet.

If anyone is interested when it comes in; the AE is through Wisconsin Power Sports in Jefferson Wisconsin. Although I might be a little carefull in dealing with them. Thanks again to all.

Just in case anyone was intrested, there was Also an 05 on the floor too. Used but in good condition, did not see how many miles were on it!!

Bought Frank off the floor, had no issues involved with title nor warranty registration, including the YES out of D&H, so I don't think it's universal.

Did I miss something? If there is a bolt or nut missing let me know which one it is and I will send one to you.

Actually Yamaha has the five hundred and will be keeping it:

clicky

thanks again Tony for the help with that one.

If you happen to want one of these bikes, my suggestion is see the owner!!! I met him today, and he was really nice, I did not discuss a deal with him, as I had a friend in town and wanted to see the 06 FJR. But I will say he was very polite, and spent some time explaining the finer points of the FJR. Go figure why he is paying staff to do this, and they were all sitting on their A$$es warming a chair.

B) Closed the deal today! Hope to pick up the bike this week. They still have three for sale. $12,567 for the bike, $13.8K OTD with all fees including Texas registration.
