I've had my Garmin 2730 for probably over a year and a half now and have had XM NavTraffic for that entire time. The only time I have ever seen it pop up traffic warnings was in and around NYC and around the DC and Philly area. Tonight, however, riding around locally here I had a warning tone sound that I had never heard before and had a box pop up at the bottom of the screen saying "FLOOD WARNING" . In order to get rid of the box I would have to simply touch the screen. Is this something new or is it just a coincidence that it never came up before? Anybody else using NavTraffic? :dntknw:

Axeman,

In the GXM-30 manual, there are 4 XM Weather County warning levels:

  • Tornado Warning
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning
  • Flood Warning
  • Flash Flood Warning.
Each has it's own specific color code.

Always been there as far as I know. 8/06 during the ButtLite we had some pretty heavy rains in New Mexico and I got a flash flood waring. Another time last summer picked up a tornado warning. Definitely worth the $3.99 a month.
