It seems that this was done before most of the other "more successful" ticker repairs, and so the author was breaking new ground. Perhaps the new guides are a bit of overkill? But who could blame him?
In retrospect, most of the rebuilds which just used the stock guides and new style seals are purring along contentedly. Not sure if they were using different style of valves or not?
But this is an awesome reference on the procedure anyway. I've saved t on my hard drive (so hopefully I'll never need it!)
