$12,000 for a 25hp bike, with a maximum range of 50 miles and a top speed of 50 mph?

No thanks!

FWIW, I think the 25 hp is overstated. 25hp should get you a considerably higher top speed than 50 mph.

sorry thats just profiteering off of the green movement. ANd by the way its too slow too short range too expensive and just plain fugly

So Gunny Uwe!

In a boutique community such as Santa Barbara, this makes a lot of sense, but not for $15,000 (well, I'd just have to get the carbon fiber jobbie, Luvie!).

Screw that, sign me up.....I have a 8 mile commute to work and 50 mph will work just fine. Just hope the price comes down. Dang I shoulda bought a moped instead of the feej.

Drive 50 miles and then charge for 3 hours. I'll add that to the list of things that don't make sense in my plans to go green. Right below the $85 Solar iPod charger that was advertised during the Live Earth concert.

Unfortunately for these guys, the rest of the world is run on squazillions of $500 Chinese mopeds. We talk about splitting traffic as a cool thing, but throughout India and Asia, every traffic light turning from red to greens begins a new Blue Smoke Grand Prix.

Of course, here in the US, this company isn't at such a cost disadvantage. The US exhaust regs and such have driven the Chinese scooters closer to $800 each.

Ummmm Nope, I can only imagine what kind of "Energy" it takes to charge that bike (Make the trons) to save energy... Oh, and make the batteries too

Aint no free lunch folks

odot wouldn't need a tree, he could rest it against a "shrubbery"

At the risk of going all political again, I truly hate it when people call these things (electric vehicles) zero-emmisions. They use energy, which is generated somewhere, somehow.

On-topic, why would anybody even drunkenly consider spending more money than a new Feej for this??!?!? It figures that someone in Oregon gets a woody (can you say woody in OR?) for this thing. He didn't have to pony up the bucks, though, did he?

I would be interested in riding it a least once just to feel how it balances. Also think it would be weird quiet, kinda like a modern whizzer.

I would sure love to see Cycle World do a side by side performance test with the Ninja 250 as that is what the article compares it with. You know where my money would be if I were a bettin' man!

Having lived in Portland, OR for 9 years, I don't think this will be all the rage with the greenies--after all, motorcycles are still unsafe and dangerous according to many of them.

LOL Keith, I may be mistaken but if you turned it sideways layed it down and turned the wheels around then stand on the seat would you not have a segway???

These things will never sell. I mean, how many hippies do you know that have $12,000 dollars??? :dntknw:
This hippy don't have no 12 large... but I do have one thing other hippys may lack: a girlfriend with a J O B
