FWIW, I think the 25 hp is overstated. 25hp should get you a considerably higher top speed than 50 mph.

Unfortunately for these guys, the rest of the world is run on squazillions of $500 Chinese mopeds. We talk about splitting traffic as a cool thing, but throughout India and Asia, every traffic light turning from red to greens begins a new Blue Smoke Grand Prix.

Of course, here in the US, this company isn't at such a cost disadvantage. The US exhaust regs and such have driven the Chinese scooters closer to $800 each.

At the risk of going all political again, I truly hate it when people call these things (electric vehicles) zero-emmisions. They use energy, which is generated somewhere, somehow.

On-topic, why would anybody even drunkenly consider spending more money than a new Feej for this??!?!? It figures that someone in Oregon gets a woody (can you say woody in OR?) for this thing. He didn't have to pony up the bucks, though, did he?

I would sure love to see Cycle World do a side by side performance test with the Ninja 250 as that is what the article compares it with. You know where my money would be if I were a bettin' man!

Having lived in Portland, OR for 9 years, I don't think this will be all the rage with the greenies--after all, motorcycles are still unsafe and dangerous according to many of them.
