Heading to the hospital tomorrow for scheduled surgery on my shoulder that was injured back in June on the job.

Doc says I have several tears in some thingee in my shoulder. I thought he said it was the labia, but that just doesn't sound right :)

Anyhow, they say I'll be in quite a bit of pain (even on meds) for a few days, off work for at least two weeks, in a mobility inhibiting sling for 10 weeks, and on limited duty for six months. Ugh.

Also means I'll be off the bike for at least 3 months too. That's what really sucks.

See you on the other side when I get back.....

Good luck with the surgery, Scott.

Hope your torn labia heals well and fast. Sounds like the doc's gonna have a challenge in making you anatomically correct, though. :D

Heal fast, and don't Bogart. That wouldn't be right. Just think... by the time you can ride again, it'll be 60* out.

   Torn labia's are not good, glad you are getting yours fixed. Heal fast, Portland needs you.

Bill

Best of luck and wishing you a speedy recovery. (You'll be back riding in no time; just trying to throw you bone  ) Listen to the Doctor and heal well.

Say, where are these labia? If everybody has them, I've been missing out.

Seriously, good luck with the surgery. Look for a way to enjoy the down time, even if your labia are sore.

It's the Labrum.

Just had that done a Little over a year ago. Yes, there is a lot of pain during recovery. Make sure you start taking your pain pills before the hospitals pain killer wears off. I waited and payed the price.

Hope you heal fast and don't forget to do as your physical therapist says.

When they tell you to breath deep and count backwards, DO IT.

Heal fast and enjoy time with the family.

Bob

BTW - I enjoyed your web-site!

Scott, heal fast, we need you at NAFO.

And if you don't mind my asking, now that we know you have a torn labia in your shoulder, just WHERE have you had your head?

I've had both shoulders done for different reasons, and except for the first 72 hours or so post-surgery, it's not bad. Do the PT and you'll bounce right back. That, and you're a youngster - so you'll heal well.

Let us all know how it turns out. Be Safe.

Best of luck!!

If I had a labia (NWS) I don't think I would want anything done to it...............well maybe something but certainly not what you are having done to yours

Seriously! best of luck w/your procedure, trust me when I say no surgery is minor when you go under, they all have risks and I wish you the best.

I had that surgery about a year ago, It was worth it...I put it off too long. Wish you a quick recovery, you'll be back in the saddle right when the weather gets warmer...

Godspeed to your surgery/healing. We need another contest winner at NAFO to defend the condom win !
