He's alive and well, he's been tied up with business, etc. He was at WFO in Reno.
Good to know he's O.K. and too busy getting richer to hang with us lowlifes. I remember seeing him in Reno, but hadn't heard from him since.

That is great Scab, thanks for posting.

Don't we love this place, just about the time the 6 O'clock news convinces us we should flush the whole planet and start over, along comes stories like this to restore the faith.

:clapping:

Scab, thanks for sharing that story. It supports what life is all about "People helping People".

Scab, very nice writeup. It confirms what I found out after my get-off back in early October going to SFO. I had well wishes from all over from our fellow forum members, and those wishes were not confined to this country, and all were very sincere. We have a wonderful group of folks here. Merry Christmas all. Ron

:clapping: Thanks for the positive write-up Scab! Sometimes you just need something to restore your faith in humanity and your story does that. PTL.

ScabDid your email change with the new job? I got a server not found for you. if so send me the new one.
No, but I havent' been able to access the server either. It is my work account so I won't know what is up until tomorrow.

Now THAT is COOL, I don't care WHO you are. Scab, somehow this touched me. I sometimes wish I had all the farkles that other's have, could afford to ride with some friends who can and do simply out spend me on trips.. so I don't go. $120 dinners are not in my budget.. hell, I can travel for darn near 3 DAYS on $120... so this thread really rang loud and true. Good on you for posting.. and good on Santa too.. and unlike Jimmy Hesser, I won't divulge who Santa is.. :p

Don't forget to add your address. Santa might send you something too, poor kid. Livin' on a ranch on the sunny CA central coast with your own MX track and whole harem of bikes in many flavors.
Times is hard, times is hard!

It's about time I hear about someone doing this w/o the frickin' news camera's there to tell the donor how wonderful they are! Great to here about your xmas present Scab! :clapping:

To whoever Santa is, it's people like you that make this a world worth livin' in. Now I'm off to go kill some mice!

Bear with me as this story may ramble in it's attempt to be told.
And to this person: Thank you. The words feel very inadequate in contrast to the gesture, but I don't know what else to say. Thank you. This means more than tires.
What a beautiful way to thank the anonymous Santa. In doing so, you've made us all feel good, and reduced the level of cynicism. I don't know who Santa was, but his anonymity allows me to believe that it was any one of the good people here. I'm sure there are a lot of guys who it could have been.

If you're reading this Santa, a big thank you from me, for helping out a buddy and for spreading the spirit of the season over everyone. Your kindness reaches a lot further than you could imagine.

Jill
