I didn't watch the video. I can't for a variety of reasons. Motorcycling is dangerous. Life is pretty much inherently dangerous. We all take risks accordingly, Some don't live beyond the risk some do. Live your life to the fullest to the best you are willing to risk. Life is 100% fatal and none of us is gonna make it out alive. Make your life the best it can be while you're here.

But, how exactly did the thread "go down the crapper", by which I assume you mean it went off topic?

We have been talking about the video in post #1 and its effect on us (or not). Seems pretty much on topic to me.

Threads often have a predictable life cycle. It starts with people making relevant posts, particularly when the topic is somewhat dark as is this one. But after awhile people start to have fun with the post and their friends and can get less on point. It's sorta like the thread starts like a funeral service and evolves into a rowdy wake. I like that for the most part. The original topic of this thread got its due attention before the loutish mourners took over. I admit to being one of the rowdy louts.
