...moving back from the headers, time to put the U-joint, sidestand, shifter mechanism and footpeg assembly back in. Thankfully, no drama. U-joint lives behind the shifter mech. plate, BTW.

Slide yer ass further back, hang the Final Drive and mufflers since you've got nothing better to do.....oh, what the hell, while you're at it, throw a back wheel on there, too.

All that's left is the throttle bodies, airbox and tank. Should have a run-test to report on Sunday afternoon.

Had to work yesterday <_< didn't get to hit a lick at a snake.

Been at it the past 3 hours, though.....

Just got the throttlebodies on. ****!!! One of the most precision parts of the bike, and it requires a hammer to get 'em back on! And it's a ****** tightening down those damn little 3mm hex screws. Had to take a break. My back is killing me.

My son gives me a "well, Dad, too bad it won't be finished today." I give him a great big :****: you. Pretty much right now all I've got to do is fill up the cooling system, bolt down the fuel rail, run the throttle cables up to the grip, hang the tank and fire it up.

We'll see. Hope to report back in a couple of hours.

coolant goes in radiator

motor oil in crankcase

hypoid oil in rear jug

gasoline in tank (make sure it's fresh)

Oh, yeah! When you get there, don't forget the little hose under the air box. The one that humans can't touch with the air box in place, but that doesn't reach if the air box is lifted enough to get fingers into the space.
