After a number of years with Gerbings, I got totally fed up with the cold spots and started to really look at the various new offerings. There are a lot of people who swear by W&S and Gerbings and I used to be one.

No More.

Try the new Powerlet Far InfraRed (FIR) jackets. When worn according to instructions with just a long sleeve T (I use underarmor) between it and your skin it simply just works better.

With 110 W it has plenty of power, but can be selected to 65 W if I'm renting a smaller bike. (65W is normally enough.) The idea of the carbon fiber panels for IR heating works MUCH more evenly than the Gerbings or W&S that I tried. The side elastic panels bring it in snug without getting too tight every time.

Combine it with the remote dual controller and my existing Gerbings gloves and I'm a happy camper.
