New brake pads. Check

Flush brake fluid, all around.. Check (thank Brodie & Hycle!)

Test ride.. Check! Clear out to Markleeville, CA and back :)

Brodie led me on a fun ride to make sure everything was working properly....and noticed that I have a headlight bulb out... oh fun.

Thank everyone for reading and making suggestions. This has certainly been a memorable trip!

I made it home around midnight Central Time last night. Fewer issues :)

From brakes to headlight bulbs! Frikkin excellent thread dood!! Man oh man have you got some reading to do.....
Least of my worries :) Purchased new bulbs and replaced those before heading home.

Are you sending me those pads or what?? I wasn't kidding. Lol...
They were tossed. I don't think the pictures showed the grooves that were cut into the pads by something (rocks?) or that there appeared to be small cracks. Also, while you are eager, I would hate to have sent them to you only to hear that they failed you. I didn't feel comfortable with the idea at all.

EBCs are the way to go. Those stupid expensive yamaha pads....

Thanks for everyone's replies, suggestions and comments. This forum has always been a great place to get help, get ideas and get dog-piled :)

I just want to know if Hycle kept you fed and supplied with beer?

He did make a great breakfast Jul 2, and the offer of anything I needed, tools, a place to stay, a car to drive, and "are you sure you're not hungry?". Excellent hospitality! I was actually staying in the Bay Area for the week so my bike lived at Hycle's for the week.

Was all this just an excuse to stay away from work longer?
I can work anywhere I have a reliable internet connection. Which is a blessing and a curse. I was staying at my manager's place so A) there were no hotel bills and B) there was no rush to return.

Leaving the Bay Area and returning to the swamp-ass-heat-and-humidity of nebrasuck was painful...
