I took my Rear wheel off to change the tire. When I finished replacing the wheel I found a small hex screw size 2.5. It could be something just lying around in my garage from another project. I didn't take off any screws that size or any size for that matter. I have an '06 AE. could it be from my brakes or ABS? Should I ride it?

Thanks

I have a picture but I don't know how to post it.

Go here and see if the screw looks like anything in one of the pictures?

and ABS addendum

I bet its part of part #2 below and which holds the ABS sensor in place.

Check the 3 screws that hold on the aluminum dust cover that is on the left side of the rear hub. It mates up to the pumpkin and is held on by 3 small screws inside the cover.

Sounds like he's got a screw loose. :D
I should of seen that coming.

There are at least 2 2.5mm screws. they are on the handlebars. But the thread on those is much larger

Do you mean M2.5 as in diameter, or that they take a 2.5 hex wrench?
it takes a 2.5 wrench.

OK. Here's the pic:

I agree with your comment in the PM, I don't think it's related either.

That looks like one of the dinky hex screws that attach the airbox boots to the throttle bodies, or, the throttle bodies to the intake spigots on the cylinder head. The screws that tighten the "hose" clamps on the intake side.

Thanks everyone, I still don't know where it came from but you all helped me feel like I can ride the FJR without to much worry. This is very cool that so many were willing to help.
