Jeff,

Might as well sell the Feejer and buy a wagon or van! Kiss the good 'ol days of riding GoodBye......... :(

My poor brother in law, married my sister, had to sell his bike and buy the wagon.

You should see his face when I ride up on my bike :waaa:

I told him he should have done like a good basketball guard........"Pull up and shoot!".........Poor *******!

Good Luck! ;)

What is a Phukmonster?

Life does not have to stop just because you get married or have a kid. You should know by know that they do have this thig in them that makes them go wroom and drive us nuts.

They are all different and one can't really be compared with another, other wise we would not be looking and checking out each and single one every chance we get. Fine, deny it all you want, but I will still look. Just because I have been happily married for 12 years does not mean I went blind or lost my smell sense. Just because I am on the diet, does not mean I can't look at the menu. :)

That is why what might work for one, might not work for another.

We had our first one 5 years ago. That is when I decided to buy a new bike from the dealer. That year I rode more then any following year. Don't get me wrong I still manage to kill a set of tires or two in a season. So, nothing is lost.

That followed by me buying a new car for ME. the car that I wanted and was able to afford at the time. G35 coupe. Yes, there is room for two child seats on the back. Why two?

because I made a "mistake" and bought another brand new bike. yes, somehow it translated for another one been in the oven:) and ready to pop in September.

I guess no more NEW bikes for me  :)

The point is. They do go wako, but if you play your cards right you can have anything you want, well, almost anything. :) As was said before, it is a team now. And things have to be taken into account.

Enjoy the father hood. my boy now tells my wife that daddy NEEDS to go for a ride at least couple evening a week. And no I did not put him up to it. So, I listen to my 5 year old and go into the city at least one night mid week.

There always the option I took. Ge the wife interested in having her own bike. I manged to survive 8 years of not having a bike because my wife didn't like them and when we met, I had just sold my last bike so it wasn't all that bad of a trade-off. 8 years later, she surprises me with my Vmax as an anniversary gift (I felt like **** cause all I get her was reservation for a nice dinner). Not even a year later, she's tired of riding on the back of the Max and wants her own bike.

Now she has her own bike and we go for rides as often as we can. Which is why I'm wanting an FJR. Vmax gets 100 miles to a tank, her Sv gets 150 miles to a tank. I'd like to even the odds a bit.

They come with Instructions???????? After Thirty Years,,, Now you tell me there's Instructions.....
That is just messed up...... 5 tries and I never did see the damm things either........

That the funniest god damn thing I've seen in awhile... thank you!

Next the man is gonna start admonishing the husband against masturbation while she's pregnant.

I just don't get it. I want to to go to ride the mountains this summer and wife is giving me GRIEF!!!!
Granted we are pregnant with 1st child and all...but **** Man I want to ride.....Baby not due until September, so I figured hell a nice little summer trip around 6/15-6/18. I figured probably can't do it next year due to child.

She throws up the fact that I went on three dirt bike trips this year for 1 or 2 nights each. I said SO!!!! HELP I'm losing this battle BAD!!!! Granted I canbe a little selfish, probably why I waited until forty to get married. I just don't see what the problem is.

Should I just give up and write it off to hormones due to pregnancy??

**** this sucks...I got the tears, the silent treatment, the attitude, and NO you know what!!!!
I have no advice. I was a rider before the wife and kids. It was made clear as crystal years and years ago, this is an important part of my life. She can join in, or she can stand off, but she can *not* stand in the way.

I talked my wife into a new bike while she was pregnant and the FJR, four months after we had the baby. At first I thought that was a blessing but it actually turned out to be torture because on beautiful weekends they are sitting there int he garage calling out to me while I baby sit. I guess things could be a lot worse though...I still get to ride them 300 miles a week to/from work.

Maybe as the kid gets older I can get her to spend some time with dad on the old bike. For now, I have to settle for her as my pillion riding the back of the tractor while I mow. :)
