It's clear that they are targeting the HD bagger market...nothing more, nothing less. Smart move by them to try and pry into that market. I have met a number of former HD riders that now ride a Wing for touring...so this makes sense marketing wise.

Looks like @ss to me...but I don't have to buy one do I? It's called a free country and free markets.
Hey, there's quite a few HD converts on FJRs too, including me! I do still have my old bagger w/no plans to sell, but FJR ownership has opened a whole new experience.

I like this new GW personally. I never liked top cases. On my Ultra Classic HD it's a fairly easy thing to pull it off (I sold mine and the lowers yrs ago). On GoldWings that was never an option unless you were good at custom work or willing to pay a shop to do it.

Like you say, free country and all that; I think more options in the MC marketplace is a good thing!

That is very ironic because my friend did the same thing to his Goldwing way before Honda did the removing of the trunk on 2013 Goldwing.

We all thought it was kind of strange only to find out now he was on to something new..

All I can say is it pays to be unique and different sometimes, way to go Kenny U. :)

My husband swears it's essentially the Cobra Edition Goldwing that was, according to Google, featured in the October 2004 issue of Rider Magazine. I've found references to it in other forums here and there, but haven't turned up any photos to compare it with the 2013. Any magazine hoarders out there? It would be interesting to see if that's where Honda got their styling cues from.

My buddy that has over 90,000 miles on his Honda Valkyrie thinks the F6B is awesome.

Mike is the same buddy that I swaped bikes with when I was riding my Ducati S4RS [400 lbs/121 hp at the rear tire].

We stopped after a few miles and Mikes said "This Duc needs some R's." Told him that's what it's made for and rode off.

He caught up with me and did a nice 3rd gear wheely on his way past.

When we stopped to trade back, he ask what I thought. My answer was "How the hell do you ride this Valkyrie tank that fast?"
