I thought I would start a new tread to find out who's going to make it to Hooterville. Please post here so I can get a head count. I have had several let me know they where coming. I would like to make up maps for everyone and see how much food for sat. evening BB-Q. I also will be off all day Friday, so the shop will be open for service. If you want to drop ship tires or change oil ect PM me for my address, and we will get it done.

Friday evening dinner at Chesters (KSFJR) favorite eatery. Catfish Kettle in Farmington Mo.

I have a route of 391 smiles maped out with fuel and places to eat/rest ect marked. If you don't want to do all the miles there will be plenty of places to turn and cut out some miles. I tryed to put most of the best roads around together for a great ride.

Please remember, most of theses road are out in the "sticks", and medical help can take a long time to get to you. So everyone please ride within there limits and dress for the crash with protective clothing. I will ride rain or shine... I always said riding in rain makes you a better, smoother rider... but I hope for sun and fun. There will be some fun twisty roads, and a the famous Hwy KK. This is a road in the middle of nowhere, and pushing the 150mph is possible :dribble: ... I think breaking up into a few smaller groups is a good idea. Letting the peg draggers leave first, and the guys that want to look and smell the flowers not feel the need to ride faster than they want to. It is your choice, and If you and a buddy or two want to do your own thing thats cool too.

The ride will start around 8am Saturday morning at the Super 8 motel. There is a place to eat right next door, be sure to tell the you are staying there for a food discount. Please ride safe, and let me know if there is anything I can help with. See you soon... Smitty :yahoo:

I'm in. :yahoo:

Coming in Friday early to have you look at my rear tire. You tell me when to be there. I can be at your place by 2pm or earlier if you need me to be. Thanks.

I will be up and at it at 8am... I will have snacks and soda/tea/coffee and a beer run is possible...

I'll be there on Friday. May try to hook up with Wheaton (didn't know that did you Wheaton?)

griff/Carl

I'm in. Counting on Kettle Catfish and maybe even a BEER on Friday night. Do they even serve beer?

Then again, I may skip Catfish and go to BIXBY. When does the store close??? :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Smitty, if you get the route plotted in MapSource, I'd sure like to have a copy of the Saturday plan... although I'm sure I can figure out a good portion of it. BTDT!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

BTW Smitty, I couldn't get my RINO to talk to Darrell's Kenwood during the CF1K. We need to see what that's all about. For those of you who have GMRS radios, we will be online. I can even jack my cell into my Autocom, but there ain't no PCS signals where we're goin'. But if you have a two way, bring it on!

IN! But as I stated before, I'll have to peel off for home before dinner (as usual, you guys are used to this!) to keep Momma happy. :(

P.S. Send me your GPS route file if you've got it. Thx!

I plan to be there. Should roll in between 6:30 and 7pm.

I will probably be riding so slow Saturday, that I will need to bring my own sack lunch.

Smitty, email me the Streets and Trips file (or whatever it was you used) and I can convert it to a MapSource file and upload it to my Garmin.

ZZzzzzzzzzzzip, you can just bag some of my leftover catfish for lunch on Saturday. MmMMmmm. GOOD!

Smitty - I could use the route file also. Hey FJ - if it is S&T, could you send me the Mapsource version. Thanks

ZZiiip - I'll ride with you Saturday. I'm not out to impress anyone (not that I could)

I'm impressed... you can do computer stuff.

Smitty and I have a corrected MapSource file of the Hooterville 400 route if any of you have a Garmin and want to get a copy for your GPS. Just PM me or Smitty with your email address and we'll forward the file to you.

My GPS will be taped to the gas tank and written in BIG letters and numbers. :p
