Ok, I know a lot of you will call me a dirty old man for this but I'll relay what happened Saturday. (I'm 46 but certainly don't act it :)

I stopped at a garage sale and quickly noticed that the owner was a very HOT young woman. As I browsed she approached me and was super-interested in my FJR. She asked me to show it to her and practically dragged me to the bike. Now, I'm not a bad looking guy but I don't receive a lot of attention anymore from 20-something women who happen to be smok'n HOT (did I mention that?).

Anyway, she wanted to know all about it and expressed her interest in getting a bike herself. I kept it age appropriate and professional. If I were younger (and not married) I would have been all over it with offering her a ride on the truly awesome FJR. I know it's all a fantasy for me but the overall interest in the bike and me wasn't my imagination. Conclusion: the FJR can be a chick-magnet...LOL.

Ah to be young again, damn it, where was this bike 20 years ago for me!!! :)

Had to get that off my chest.

I can assure you - it was just the bike. You probably look like a father figure, to her.

I have a 20-year-old daughter. People tell me she's hot. I can't see it, myself. The other day I was in a department store, and I caught myself looking at a package of these little jingle-bells, her mother used to sew into her dresses... Back when she was a toddler.

Something to think about, when ogling somebody's daughter, 20-something years younger than you are. Riding is a lot safer than some things.

HA!! i have young girls looking at me all the time

of course they are pointing and laughing :(

but hey , they are still looking :p

I see interest all the time, pull up in front of some place to get something, park the bike, look around and notice the girls watching, but with glances, you know, not just staring. Trying to be subtle. Then the helmet comes off revealing the gray beard, bald pate, etc, and there's a big rolling of the eyes, kind of an "Oh, whatever!" expression, like I specifically showed up just to waste their time or something.

Dammit!!!

Another keyboard ruined. When am I gonna learn to put my coffee down when I'm reading this forum?

Gosh, Gerry, too bad you aren't young like me (just a kid at 44), and had the faster '07 Black Cherry bike, you might have bagged her. Ha! I love the looks from young and old ladies alike. The helmet helps, I agree. Nothing like having a super-stunning bike pull up and off comes the helmet to reveal Uncle Fester... really puts a damper on the ego.

But my wife thinks I'm cute, and that is all I need.
