She knows about AE and the other automatic m/c's (Honda and Aprila). She's not interested (yet). She says she's content for now. At least it is stable on the highways and has power to maintain highway speeds with power to spare. It's handles the twisties well too. And we can fit 2 full face helmets under the seat which leaves my bags free for "stuff".
She's already proven on multiple occasions that she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

That sounds familiar. I got a VStar 650 and put about 4500 miles on it in the first year then I just HAD to have a VStar 1100. That bike took me for 18K wonderful miles and a lot of smiles in just over a year but then I saw the FJR.......
Actually, the only time I ride REAL close behind Andy, i.e. 2-up is when one of the bikes is going in for service. Other than that, I ride a safe stopping distance behind, on my own bike. We're taking a road trip in a couple of weeks, on our Dual-Sports. He has suggested that I lead for most of the ride, since my 650 doesn't have the power or wind protection that his 1200 has. I can set the pace, and also expand my horizons a bit e.g. pay attention to where we're going instead of just following.
