Less chance of an unpleasant confrontation that way.
Oh, it won't be unpleasant for *me*. He's 55, 5'8", 160lbs. I'm considerably younger, tall heaver and better trained in fighting. :)

Bullies get shot, you know?

I hope they're coming with a LEO escort, because you're starting to sound like a LEO's nightmare -- a domestic violence incident waiting to happen with loaded guns in the house.

Lock the gun safe.
Don't have one. :( Guns are my wife's and the four of them are loaded and in a gun bag in her closet. :(
OK.

Man, I really feel sorry for ya. (You know that from my PM's I've sent...) I've been down that same road. And I'm sincere, it sucks..

But here's where I switch into my forum redneck goofyass....

I'm thinkin', get some revenge....

Don't try to do it alone. Find friends you can lean on..

There's better days ahead....

SO has ridden her own for years and has no desire to ride pillion. In fact, goes out of her way to avoid it. She has a Honda Magna and a 2003 Indian Spirit. She's also a factory certified BMW motorcycle mechanic working for a dealership In Fredericksburg, VA. Yeh, she kicks *** and I love it.

My apologies for giving that impression. I'm Canadian so I would never use the guns. But I also will not allow my wife's (we're still married - no papers have been filed) *boyfriend* to step one foot in my house.

Anyways...let's move on from this thread hijack...

Lots. She's posted them on her own web site so the boyfriend can look at them...wanna see them? :)

Well shi-ite! If SHE posted them to the web, post up the links.

Let's DO end the thread hijack, but one last suggestion: unload the guns and deliver the ammo separately when she is leaving. LOTS of good reasons for that.

Now . . . the pic links???

Not the smartest thing to do until the divorce and any post-marriage arrangements are finalized.

I'm just sayin'

My wife rides a 2002 Honda SilverWing. She took and passed the MFS course on a 250cc Honda, but she doesn't like or want to deal with the "clutch and shifting thing". Pretty nice "maxi-scooter" though. 583cc and cruises along at highway speeds (65-70mph) with no problem.

Then you probably better not tell her about the AE.
She knows about AE and the other automatic m/c's (Honda and Aprila). She's not interested (yet). She says she's content for now. At least it is stable on the highways and has power to maintain highway speeds with power to spare. It's handles the twisties well too. And we can fit 2 full face helmets under the seat which leaves my bags free for "stuff". :)

She's already proven on multiple occasions that she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

Being Canadian, Shawn probably doesn't know HOW to unload the guns ;)
You're right - when the police came, I asked them to unload them for me....

After two years of begging for a white motorcycle we finally found her a new White 07 Honda VTX 1300 C last month. I never thought I'd like riding a cruiser but its sort of fun if its alright to say that here.

My wife has an 07 vstar 650 that we got new. She's only put 1500 miles on it and now she wants a new vstar 950. Sheesh!

my wife has ridden pillion with me for 36 years but the last 2 years of that she started riding her own bike, learnt on a virago 250, then got a vulcan 500 (kawasaki) and now has a honda vt750 shadow spirit. rides that most of the time when we go on long or short rides but graces my pillion seat from time to time. when wife is not on the back often my daughter is, daughter says she trusts her dad %100 so i think twice before pushing my 07 fjr to hard with her as pillion , though we still do go hard ocassionally. this is my second fjr and owned a st1300 and bandit 1250 in between, went back to the best.

That sounds familiar. I got a VStar 650 and put about 4500 miles on it in the first year then I just HAD to have a VStar 1100. That bike took me for 18K wonderful miles and a lot of smiles in just over a year but then I saw the FJR.......

Next thing you know she'll either be riding your bike or there will be another FJR in the garage.

I'm like you Penguin, I have the FJR and my husband has his own custom built bike. My 19 year old daughter also has a Yamaha VStar 650. When we are out tooling around we all ride our owm bikes however, when we go anywhere long distance my husband drives and I ride behind him.

Actually, the only time I ride REAL close behind Andy, i.e. 2-up is when one of the bikes is going in for service. Other than that, I ride a safe stopping distance behind, on my own bike. We're taking a road trip in a couple of weeks, on our Dual-Sports. He has suggested that I lead for most of the ride, since my 650 doesn't have the power or wind protection that his 1200 has. I can set the pace, and also expand my horizons a bit e.g. pay attention to where we're going instead of just following.

After three tries to find the perfect bike, I believe we have a winner. Victory Vegas Low seems to fit her just right.
