$1.075 per litre Canadian or $4.64 US$/US gal. in Ontario, but at least it's down a bit from $1.34/ liter Canadian.

I think I saw $2.37 the other day on a sign, but, you know what? I don't even look anymore. The prices are so ridiculous that I just put in fuel until either the tank is full or I'm out of money.

I remember $4/Gallon gas at NAFO 2008, and 5$/Gal gas up in the mountains at that same event.

Funny. I read here on the FJRForum that gas is $1.99 in OKC.
True...they had to have the local PoPo to direct traffic....

Several stations between 2.38 (Sam's club and Costco) and 2.50 on the way home this evening.

For years, I've watched oil prices daily like a hawk. The oil industry has such a HUGE impact on our local economy. I find Bloomberg to be an excellent source for this. I think it would appear that, at least for a short while, gas prices are going to touch $2.00 per gallon for most of the nation. I never thought I'd see that again but I suppose the laws of supply and demand rarely fail.

It has fascinated me that oil has continued to trade on the world market only in American dollars. Henry Kissinger was an economic genius, a legend in his own time.

And the TV pundits seem to think the lower prices may last for a long time and that the rise may be a slow one. Of course, an act of colossal stupidy just about anywhere in the world could be used as an excuse to raise prices quickly. Right now the economies of countries such as Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela are taking a beating. A shame, a real shame.

Could you please someone tell me why the gallon costs $7.30+/- in all European countries with the basic salary per month maximum at $800..??Something goes wrong here i think...

The difference is (primarily) in the rate of taxation, not the cost of the fuel. Though the source of the fuel has some impact on the base cost.
