How old are you FJR riders?

As of right now.... over 45 under 50... Those other FeeJ dudes R old! I'm just a kid... kinda

No Pillion, but my youngest daughter is now showing interest though. I had to take her to Home Depot and Costco on the bike today, she just had to ride today. Maybe she'll come with me on future SoCal rides.

I'm 59 and my high school sweatheart just a coulps less. I try to get the old chick up behind me as often as she would like. We're kind of a team with the bike. But I would say it's rode about 90% of the time by me alone. The one thing that sucks when she's on the back is the wierd air from behind that twists my head around. I sometimes ride with my head on my shoulder, so i have to lower the wind shield and kill more bugs with my face shield.

Share the time with your wife it's the right thing to do, besides you get her to press her boobs in your back.

Older than my teeth, I don't even have a pillion seat.

However, a good percentage of the NorCal riders are 2-up on our group rides. Take a gander at the "Ride Reports" thread.

50 and ride solo 95% of the time, the wife only likes to ride when it's hot and sunny out, here in the Pacific North West, that's about 1 month.

In every one of the 'how old are you' polls I've been in highest percentage age bracket. During my first 10 or so years of riding it was all strictly solo. Now I ride alone during the week and two up on the weekends. That amounts to riding two up roughly 75% of the miles I've ridden. At this point my wife has probably ridden >240 thousand miles as a pillion B)

And yet with your concise and learned response, you STILL managed to avoid giving your age. Fess up, Gran'pa!

first year we had the FJR was 99% 2 up, I was 33 and the wife 29. Pregnancy followed... 100% solo since...

Two-up about 75% of the time. GF goes where I go, as fast as I want to go, as long as I want to go, as hard as I want to go. She's good to go. And take my word for it, it's a damn frightening ride! She MUST be crazy.

My daughters have suddenly become too old to ride anymore. It messes up their hair and makeup (which they don't need). Maybe someday they will ride with Daddy again. I sure miss pointing out cows, goats and horses to them, even though I still load "their music" on the Zumo.

Oldest will do The Dragon or Cherohala on special occasions. Youngest is shaping up to become a cruiser chik someday. I worry more about her safety. Who knows what the future holds.

46,99.9% solo cause wife doesn't like back seat on FJR, especially with no backrest. But gave her big diamond ring this weekend for 25th anniversary and she said anything I want for the bike is approved!

Considering the majority of posts in this thread are from a bunch of old farts, it puts me at ease knowing I have awhile before I have to trade the FJR in for a Goldwing or Ultra Glide with training wheels.
