Okay, so the revolving door is still spinning...can't seem to get rid of these damn kids. 35 year old son, poster-boy for bi-polarism, is back home permanently. 26 year old daughter is at the house 2 hours a day, 7 days a week and lives 1/2 a mile a way, so can't keep HER away, and the 23 year old just broke up with her husband of 4 years and has moved all her shit back home...and is already seriously dating ANOTHER loser with no car, no job, no prospects. Sound familiar to anyone?

So, this past weekend, mom and the youngest get into a big shouting match. Seems the youngest "loaned" her car to her new boyfriend. Mom finds out and is PISSED! See, Mom ponied up the money to get the girl the car, plus we're paying her insurance, so Mom feels like it's HER car and the girl has no business loaning it to someone, who as far as we're concerned, is a complete stranger.

This shouting match goes on for about an hour, both women are at the verge of tears from the spent emotions, and nothing is being solved, so "Dad" steps in with a few words of wisdom.

I stick my big nose in the middle (just to quiet things down so I can watch NFL) and make them stop. I ask Mom why this bothers her so much. Daughter must think I'm on her side, because she gets a big, smug look on her face and puffs up like a blowfish. Mom stumbles, stutters, can't find the words and daughter prepares to pounce.

Here's where "Dad" steps in it...I look at Mom right in the face and tell her "What's the big deal with her letting Eddie (the new slacker) use her car? She lets him use her vagina all the time and you haven't said a word!"

They're STILL not speaking to me. I'm loving the silence!

Howie, WTF??? WHy haven't you downsized the castle enough so there is no room at the inn? A much smaller castle with a three+ car garage would be much better. ;)

Wouldn't make any diff. House is only a 3 bedroom now...one for me, one for mom, one for son. Daughter is "living" in what used to be our dining room, with bedroom suite replacing table and sideboard.

Yes, I said "one for me, one for mom..."

Haven't slept in the same room with her since two weeks after we remarried back in 2003. She's too nuts to be that close to.

All I gotta say is ... I find it terrifying that you reproduced in the first place, Howie, much less 3 times.

Damn Howie...you house sounds alot like mine. Most days I just want to get on the bike, and never go back home.

Every day that I wake up is just one day closer to being done.

That's F'n hilariously Howie ;)

Sounds like there's a lot of under current of feelings going on there.

Hey anyone in that situation would have similar issues I'm sure. It's a lot to deal with Bro, wish you the best with it.

Right on RadioHowie,

Had me a similar incident with my daughter (cough cough step daughter). I was good enough to buy her a frickn' truck for a true ton of greenbacks..... Mom had to surrender her Jeep CJ7 for it, I loved it... paid insurance you name it, missy starts her rampage of dating more guys than I can count on two hands almost simultaneously (still being married to her high-school sweetheart..but separated).... so I'm pissed, mom pissed, daughter happy as can be.....

So the showdown happens.....missy (my daughter) is all mad and screams at the top of her lounge at me, how I dare judging her.... So I respond, missy listen (very calmly though) There are a few rules to living the high life.

#1 Money talks, bullshit walks....... as far as I'm concerned mom and I paid for all your fun stuff didn't we? She yes and your point?

#2 Adults wear big people pants....she again and your point?

To #1 I'M NOT A FUCKING BANK, cough up the money we spend on your truck, all 20K of it and you can **** the whole state on facebook, I don't give a damn.......

To #2 go back to your place, put on your big girl pants and behave like adults do.... (she's 24)

SILENCE.........

She left and wasn't seen no more....... Step-father happy, mom finally caught the drift everything else in perfect balance.... Gotta love a word of candor......

I think we should be allowed legally to abort the pregnacy at about 23 years. :glare:

btw, got room for one more?

Schadenfreude. It's a bad thing...but very prevalent on this board. ;)

Seriously Howie...that is one screwed up situation.

I also want you to know that in that whole effed up mess...you are my hero. Speaking the truth.
