i made a fly screen

I live in SC and it has been around 95 degrees and 95% humidity since the day I bought this bike. I've never been really big on windshields and even cut down the stock windshield on my FZ1 so the barn door that came with my FJR just had to go. I will save it for our 1 month of winter here.
I have been riding with no windshield for the last week, but, didn't like the look.
A google search brought up a few slightly smaller windshields for $100+
So, a quick drive up to Walmart scored a solid black 20 gallon garbage can made of a reasonably thick, flexible, plastic for $12.
using the W frame that holds the windshield in place as a template and a 45 lb barbell weight for the curve at the top, I cut out my own fly screen in about 5 minutes.
What do you think? I kind of like it.
I tested it up to 70 mph today and was rewarded with a strong wind blast, but, no turbulence.

Thanks guys. I am really happy with how it turned out. My original plan was to cut down a stock windshield. I'm glad I went this route.

NSrider is correct, originally made by Audiovox. The cruise control was later marketed by a company Murphs kits (https://murphskits.com/), but they no longer advertise them.

Took a little fitting to the FJR, definitely not plug and play.

An alternative would be an Australian product, the Mccruise, try https://www.mccruise.com/collections/yamaha, which is, I believe, much easier to fit.

I cut it with a heavy duty pair of scisors. I first rough cut it a little large, then I traced the shape I wanted with a black sharpie, bending it so it fit the shape of the W frame. And trimmed it with the same pair of scisors. Finaly I lightly filed the top edge.

I have had the MC Cruise control on my 2010G2 for 5 years. A+, 5 star rating.
