Certifiable Old Fart
Nice writeup in the December 2007 issue of Motorcycle Consumer News about the Iron Butt Rally 2007 by Bill Shaw.
Photograph is on page 36 of the top 10 finishers, with our guys: Tom Melchild, Greg Marbach, Michael Evan and Alan Barbic.
As a BMW and Harley guy, besides loving my 2003 FJR, I get a kick out of seeing "Hopeless Class" entrants such as Joel Rappoport with his "recently broken in" 1976 BMW R60/6 with 435,000 miles and Mark Collins riding a 1972 Harley Davidson with 199,000 miles. I had a 1974 R90S with 169,000 miles and a 1984 FLH with 212,000 miles; I can relate to this!
