I just sold my '01 FZ-1 and am looking to upgrade to an FJR. I found an '05 with 127 miles on it. It has the Yamaha touring trunk, Heli bar risers, softer compound grips, Yamaha ergonomic seat, and the Yamaha tall windscreen. He is asking $10,000 but will entertain offers as the season has all but wrapped up here in the northeast.. Is this too good to pass up?

IMHO If the bike is in as good a condition as it sounds and there are no warning bells going off in your head about the seller, then YES it is too good to pass up!

I paid just a hair less than that 3 months ago for an 04 with 4k miles and not as many farkles.

(Wanna Trade?) :D

That's still a pretty fair deal, especially if you can skin it down a little more. And Non-ABS models are going to become like hens teeth. Yamaha isn't making them anymore in the FJR. That could be a two edged sword.

Sounds like a good deal, practically new bike with close to $1000 in extras. Good luck in whatever decision you make.

Offer him 9500 the worst he can say is "no" its a geat time for a deal this time of yr. Good Luck, what ever you pay you wont regret it.

Picked up my 05 ABS on October 18th; found it in NY state on e bay with 1900 miles, corbin seat, moto lights, piia lights installed for high and low beam; the best bike I have ever owned; have already laid down about 800 miles. Looking for some decent weather in the northest this weekend and I will be gone. Oh yea, the price was $ 10,099.

Sounds like a good deal to me. He has over a grand in upgrades already. Do you know why he's selling it?

You buy it? Sounds like a deal to me. I'd buy it with what I know after 9100 miles on my '05 FJR.

Topcase is $750 alone.

Unless you can physcially see the bike it sounds like a scamm to me watch your dollars so some one else gets free money.

If this deal is for real and not a scamm take to good to pass up.

Good luck weekend rider
