Kind of an awkward question but...

I can't help but notice that your new bike looks very much like the one in your pic of Greg (Good2Go). Same windshield, rifle tuning block, etc. This would not happen to be your friend's bike would it? I realize all Gen 2s look alike...
Nope, Good2Go's was an 08 that went back to the finance company. However, that IS his Rifle tinted screen. I also have his Bill Mayer custom saddle, though not installed on the FJR yet.

That reminds me, I have a bunch of his stuff off his old bike sitting in a closet that I need to sell.........

It is cool beyond words that you have that windshield to sit behind. Enjoy your new bike.

That black color and the crossed cavalry sabres ALMOST make up for the fact that it is a second rate, er ah, I mean second gen. By the way, nice legs, but time to shave them again I think.

For not liking your new G2 POS, you sure do have a BIG grin on ur face :D (probably should of left this pic out ;) ...so G3 up next?

Excellent airboss!

I  that movie!!!! Not only did I get to watch some of the filming of it as the scene with Twiggy was filmed in West Chicago about 3 miles from where I grew up in Warrenville, but I also got to meet John Belushi!

Trivial fact #1: I graduated from the same high school as John Belushi also, Wheaton Central, though he was just a few years ahead of me.

Trivial fact #2: They blew up that gas station (as John B threw his cigarette out the window of the car as they were leaving igniting a fire which led to *boom*), but though the Twiggy gas station scene was in the movie, the blowing up of the gas station didn't make the final editing cut????

Then what happens?

No POS Gen2 for me, EVER!

What's next? I'm afraid to ask!

So you and John Belushi benefited from the same education in your formative years.

PUH-LEEESE, you two. You guys been asleep the last 2 or 3 decades?? There's only ONE path for someone with that kind of commitment to his positively stated past positions:

POLITICS !

Yep, you heard it here on the FJRforum first -- SkooterG is in the formative years of making a run all the way to the White House. SkooterG in '24! Admin is only a stepping stone. Like it was for Mayor Iggy. ;)
