Ok so I have been riding since I was 12 or 13. street since 14 off and on because of having kids and no money.

I always stayed well with in comfort limits for me till I bought the connie then, I started pushing my comfort level and trust in tires and bikes. then sold and bought the FJR I still figure me riding aggressive enough to scrape a peg was just not something I would do. Listening to Fourplay on the Ipod and trying to stay ahead of a new corvette getting on the freeway this morning... I actually had my first peg scrape. OH **** what was that. then I just grinned and Stayed in it.

I know not a big deal but, you probably remember the first time you did it to.

Musta been the Jazz.

Yeah, I remember my first split-second reaction was to stand it back up. But then in the next split-second held the line and thought "Oh, so that's what it's like".

When peg scraping became more common I then started concentrating more on body positioning to get more cornering clearance. And then after that I discovered aftermarket suspensions helped that as well. Each step of my enlightenment has been a whole new world to explore, practice and get comfortable all over again.

yes, I do!

And I am the one who has them adjusted up and away so they would touch AFTER the pegs and muffler touch. And no, I haven't touched down the highway pegs. Don't plan to either!

My first peg scrape on the feej was TURN 5 at WILLOW SPRING INT'L Raceway. :yahoo:

Yeah feej on the track, with bags....

Rockin good time.

I get a lot of toe scrapes on the street even with my feet back as if I was on a sportbike.

If you want something that makes you scrape those pegs: 'Native Sons of a Distant Land' on Sahara. ROCKS. Of course, Black Diamond (not the acoustic one), Brave New World.... I could go on.

Ride with my wife, the next time you scrape pegs will be your last, trust me. :(
I feel your pain...I keep telling mine,"don't worry we won't fall"
When my wife starts getting nervous, she squeezes me with her legs. If I don't ease up, she resorts to slapping the back of my helmet. If I scrape a peg with her on the back, I will definately hear about it...You ever seen that picture of the two lions?

FourPlay nor Foreplay. And who is taken the pictures? Scary.

Edit: ooh I just thought. I have a spare ram ball maybe I should get a video camera mount. aim it backwards not forward like all the stupid yahoo squid cameras.

I have a feelin that scrapin pegs is goin to be rare for me.

I don't really want to find the limits of my bike and tires by goin past that line.

Thanks for the advise.
