I remember not too long ago... under-lubrication use to be the worries, now we have to worry about being "over"-lubricated too.

Still think that proper maintenance and regular changing is most important to engine life, what brand oil it is? kinda over-rated IMO.

I am a Rotella 15W-40 user. Not because I believe in this oil more than others with a JASO MA oil rating but because it is the most convenient oil available at a reasonable price. I only use synthetic when I am going on a extended trip and need to squeek out a few extra miles between an oil change (i.e. IBR)
