I'd like to slip down to the Kalispell/Whitefish/Columbia Falls area in NW Montana for a couple of nights before the snow starts to fly.

Anyone know of some good, economical places to stay in that area. I usually B&Bs or family run 'Lodges' but avoid the 'Luxury' places as they tend to be a poor value for what I need (IMHO.)

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

Hi Jeff,

I once stayed at the Huckleberry House in Libby. It was pretty nice with a place to put the bike under cover. There is a B&B or two in Whitefish but I don't know much about them.

Cheers,

Fred

I was there earlier this year and there is the full compliment of Motel 6, super 8, etc. They are all together on the main road south.

You might also check out Polson, Mt. at the other end of Flathead Lake. I thought it was a really nice city.

The closer you get to Whitefish the higher the rent in my experience.
