Penguin, I understand where you are coming from. I took my better half to the "Sunset Parade at 8th and I in DC. I thought she was going to pass out due to dehydration with the amount of drool coming from her mouth.

I wish I had known when I was a 21 year old Marine that there were so many Cougars.

You weren't even an appetizer for a cougar back then.

LOL! It's always fun to look but reality sets in, when I realize that these kids are my son's age. His best friend is a Marine, and I can't imagine that little boy as being much more than about six years old.

Penguin you mouth is saying they are to young but something else is saying, "Boy I would rock your world."

Did I read 0915?

Depends.

KSU=Kick Stands Up.

That means we are rolling at 9:15.

Its a very easy place to find and since its a Starbucks parking lot getting there a bit early to Caffinate and put something on your stomach is highly recommended. If you dont normally do breakfast like me dont worry. We will be in BigBear at around 11:30 ish.

BTW does anyone remember the name of the fine dining experience in big bear that we normally eat at?

Okay, seeing as how I can't let you knuckleheads ride alone, I'm all in. What do we want to do as far as a ride goes? Do we want to go through Idylwild on the return like last time? I will be more than happy to put together some map stuff for the Garmin crowd if needed. Also, I will post this up on the facebook group as an event so we can keep a count going there as well. I know not everyone makes it on here all the time. Thanks Slappy for the PM and throwing down the gauntlet.

Simon we are leaving so late just to piss you off. Seriously though. Its over 100 miles from my house to Redlands. Thats just over two hours after getting all the southern socal folks in Temecula. Its a satruday ride and the last time we took off to early we go to the feed trough before it opened. So now you get an extra hour of beauty sleep, because lord knows you need it, and we get to stuff our pie holes right around lunch time. Dont worry puddin, with the group we got going its looking like we can run at a nice clip. We can put SanteFe and Ynotride in front and try to keep up. We might even get the chicken strips down to 2 inches on each side.

Lanny good call I will put it up there.

BTW we have over 100 people in Southern California on Daves list. Why can we only must up 10 people for a ride this pretty at the best time of year for this ride? Granted we get over 10 people and these things can get out of hand but we had 25 last time we did this and it seemed to work out well. I know I had fun.

Slappy, I will do a couple of things.

1. Post it as an event for the SOCAL FJR Riders Group which now has 68 members on facebook.

2. Copy this post to the other forum and then reference them here to post a go/no go response,

3. Send out an email announcing the event to those 99 folks that are on the SOCAL FJR Riders List.

4. Put together a Garmin Map for those that desire to have one to load to there Zumo's.

I would recommend meeting in Temecula at 7:30 with KSU no later than 8:00 to make Redlands by 9:00.

"For those coming from the areas of Oceanside to Temecula and dont want to ride up alone we will be meeting at

Shell station at 79 & 15N just south of Temecula. (Take 15N to the 79 Exit. Go WEST on 79. Shell station will be about 2 tenths of a mile on your right hand side. Huge American Flag.)"

You just might consider adding to your first post a "MEETING TIME AND KSU TIME!!!!!!!!"

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is anyone home in Santee?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I'm still boycotting that Shell station because they treat motorcycle riders like crap. They always hassle us when we get gas. Let's meet at the Arco station across the street.

Hey all, I found the first mistake while trying to develop the maps. The Shell station is actually an Arco station. It is at 44982 Old Town Front St., Temecula, CA 92591. I looked at it on street view in Google Maps and it has the huge US Flag flying in front of it. I sent out an email prior to finding the mistake and it still lists the Shell. When I get the first maps drawn up, I will have that address changed and will send it out in another email.
