Great photos Tenchi and blufjr!

In spite of the crappy weather, that was one of the funnest ride I have done in a long time. Nobody got lost separated, no performance awards earned and no new crash club members!

I hope the pace was right for everyone, I sure enjoyed setting it coming home. :D

Great bunch showed up even though the organizer bailed! I guess his excuse is good enough...but we haven't seen any pictures...on second thought we don't want to see pictures

Can't wait for the next get together!

Thanks Guys,

The Maupin Romp was a great time!

To think I just got my FJR only a month ago...I have joined this fourm, been to a group event, and met some great people,

all in a 4 week period. That is just fantastic. It just confirms that the FJR and their owners was the right choice for me.

Everybody made me feel very welcome .

Thanks Ken (blufjr) for the tire clinic!

And a special shout out to Escapefjrtist,Niehart,Panman,&Tenchi for allowing me to join them on Saturday for a run in the canyons.

I had a great first time experience, and look forward to doing more things with fjr owners everywhere.

I am extra glad I went to this as they are calling for SNOW here on Thursday...my season is coming to a close.

Anybody find yourself in my neck of the woods give me a shout.

Thanks again,

Kevin

And your neck of the woods is where?
Hey Kevin,

Thanks for helping with the tire. Getting it on the centerstand, holding the light an all.

Up date your profile and you won't be asked those dumb questions.

Looking forward to the next time we can get together and RIDE. See you then.

A bit late but nevertheless, it was great meeting up with you all in Maupin,OR. Thanks Sockmonkey for getting the idea off the ground, too bad you were unable to attend.

Thanks to Blufjr for the tire repair clinic. It made me double check my tires the next morning and find a nice shard of Flint in my rear tire too. Nice keepsake to remind me of my trip to Fossil and that there is a whole lot more gear for me to get set up.

Thanks to AuburnFJR and the Mrs. for leading the spirited ride up 142. Admittedly, I was greatly suprised arriving at The Dalles and seeing the group still there; guess it was meant to be.

I apologize for ditching you all at the Glenwood Highway, but there wasn't time for back tracking in my tight schedule; not being a morning person creates timing issues.

See you all next time.

Anybody find yourself in my neck of the woods give me a shout. Thanks again,

Kevin

And your neck of the woods is where?

I regret missing the weekend and the rides, work is getting very, very frustrating.

North Idaho Kevin
Just spent four days a week and a half ago, exploring North Idaho, and western Montana. Some beautiful country around Flat Head river and lake, and along the Clark Fork river.

I, too, had a very good time, despite a couple close calls on the way to Maupin, on Saturday.

Sunday's ride north was excellent, even with the moisture. The pace Bryan set was perfect until that quarter mile or so of gravel when the leaders left the last few of us in their mist (no chance of dust at that point).

No harm, as they vigorously flagged us down at the next stop.

All around a very fun weekend. The Imperial River Co. offers very nice, if not exactly bargain, accommodations. Good food and drink in very nice surroundings is a winner. I'll definitely be back.

It was nice seeing/meeting everyone and I look forward to the next chance to get together.

If anyone finds themselves in or near Yakima, give me a shout. I've a spare room and know where the good microbrews are to be found.
