Ex-Navy here (disabld) - Plankowner USS ABE LINCOLN - CVN-72/ V-2 Air Dept Catapults and Arresting Gear!also on the IKE and AMERICA... returned to duty years later as Reservist - COMSUBRON-11 SanDiego. Dad retired Army 0-6, brother currently AF pilot (RC-135s!)

Came for a 2 year tour. Many cannot understand why I stayed so long (wife is not Korean)...

I can't explain it. It's just what I do, and I am damn proud that I can contribute.

 
I am currently the Maintenance/Material Control Officer (MOS 6004) for Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 774 out of Norfolk, VA. We fly the CH-46E. I've been in since 1987 and have been at Norfolk for two years.

USAF 1975-79 as a tech controller then in the reserves and guard for a few years more as an avionics instrument tech.

Altus, OK 1975-77

Sembach Germany 77-79

Reserves at Newark Ohio for a year or two

Guard at Nashville, TN for a couple more years

Got to check out the PX at Fort Sill a couple times. We had to drive 56 miles from Altus to Lawton just to get a Big Mac ! Used to make the trip on an RD250.
