FZ1 mirrors can be used on all generations. 3rd Gen and later need a couple of spacers (washers) to clear the recesses in the faring. Lots of photos of various Gens with FZ1 mirrors since so many have been installed

Most people (me included) installed these FZ1 mirrors:

5LV-26280-00-00 REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY (LEFT)

5LV-26290-00-00 REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY (RIGHT)

comparison pics from many years ago: https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=100993&hl= although I don't know if they're still there because the Net Nazi's here at work block all photo sharing sites.

I have them on my 2010 and I couldnt believe how much better visibility was. I havent experienced the FZ1 mirrors.

+ 2 ^^^^ Don't dick around with extenders, spring for the OEM FZ1 mirrors. I've used both and the FZ1 is the perfect solution to seeing everything behind you.

After reading all the forums I assumed that I would need mirrors but when I picked my new to me 2012 up today the spacers were already installed. Once I got the glass angle adjusted I can see the edge of my hand but a lot of what’s behind me. If it were me I’d go with the cheaper route. Lord knows there will be a guy in a week who needs mirror inputs and you can sell them if you aren’t happy with your choice.

This is the 4th FJR that these mirrors have been on.

Looks like most with the FZ-1 are on Gen I & II; anyone with experience or pictures on their 2014 & up?
Yes. I have FZ-1 mirrors on my 3rd Gen 2014 along with a set of the WynPro no-vibe aux light brackets. I had just the mirrors on first and only needed a few washer/spacers under the mirrors to fit them into the relieved areas of the farino. There are photos of the mirrors on my 2014 in the threads about those brackets.

Fantastic, thanks guys for the pics and confirmation. Guess I will be ordering a set. As long as they fit and I know they function.

Yep,I'm feeling a little stupid right now...I traded my '04 in without even thinking about removing the FZ1 mirrors.Dolp!!!

Love my FZ1 mirrors. Had them on my last 3 FJRs. Thinking of upgrading to a Gen 3. With Freds advice I'm hoping for an easy install.
