After my mudbath last month, my skin is buttery smooth :stunned:

But I've washed the bike and can't get the fine Oregon mud stains out of the stock seat and it's little indentations. Anybody have suggestions on what to do to clean it? I'd rather not replace or have them recovered. It really is ooooogly.

Might try a fine bristle scrub brush and lots of soap. Murphys Oil Soap works pretty good and won't mark up the paint..

Another trick I've used with some success is compressed air while it's still wet and soapy while scrubbing..

I had a spot that took several months to wear off.

Thanks nut. I just hate to work that hard, but I'll do it if nobody has an easier way. At least it gives me an excuse to fire up the compressor for something other than filling tires.

Saddle soap?

Oh wait, just ride the bike more. Your butt will wear it off in no time.

Or: It's not a problem, it's a feature.

Helping...

Well if ya don't wanna work too hard there's always this klown.

Hey I'll get better It's only my second attempt

Use Bust's anus shaver, works on odot. Gets mud off too. Even removes paint and gum. Will also remove any nuclear residue in the area.

You're toast Bust!

Foaming interior cleaner for cars, sold at most auto parts stores, works on a lot of things. Little scrub with a brush and rinse it off.

Riddle me this batman.....HOW THE **** DID MY HEMORRHOIDS GET INVOLVED WITH THIS THREAD?

OK soap and water did squat.

I tried auto upholstery cleaner per can instructions. Did almost nothing.

I found a spray bottle of orange citrus all-purpose cleaner "will clean everything in and outside your home". Hmm the seat is outside. :dntknw:

I sprayed some on and wiped off with a microfiber cloth. Most gone with a few wipes. Even the little dimples on the seat! :clapping:

A second spray and wipe; looks better than it had since new. And it has a lovely scent.

Worked so well I sprayed my Cortech 21 liter bag that came off the tank and fell in a mud puddle. Not quite as good a result, as there are lots of little nooks and cranny's, but it looks better than before the bag had a mud bath. :clapping: :clapping:

I have no idea about the seat and bag rotting or losing any water-resistant properties. But I bought some Scotchgard kinda stuff to spray my Olympia jacket, so I'll spritz some on the Cortech and see what happens.

Your mileage may vary, but the citrus cleaner (Home Depot I think? but lots like it) was really easy and didn't need a lot of elbow grease.
