I like your lack of trust in your fellow man. So are we going to see the scraper version at WFO? Doesn't sound like you'll have the new one in time.

Here's the Dyno Sheet. They did the pull in 4th gear

Concur, the HP gains look pretty damn good.

But I'd sure like to see the torques curves as well... do they exist anywhere?

I brought the bike over to Yoshimura and had them cut the part of the pipe that was scraping and weld a new pipe that is tucked up and in as to not scrape.

It looks pretty good, but you can see a slight difference in the color of the stainless steel that they used.

I'll have my new pipe in a couple weeks.

Motorcyclist dynod the 06 and came up with about the same HP as mine stock and it had 89.9 ft/lbs of torque. So, I figure I gained about about 4 ft/lbs.

See you at WFO

Received a call today from Muzzys, now instead of just sending me a new header and mid pipe, the want me to take off the old pipes and send them to them for repair  of course they will pay the shipping both ways, but this is a pain in the *** to remove and re-install the pipes.

I mean what if i had it installed by someone else who would be paying the labor for that?

Guess i'm just pissed because i was expecting a new header, not a repaired one!

I don't think I'd like them re-bending my scraped up pipe and sending it back. I hope they intend to replace the scraped section. Keep us posted.

Dave originally said we would get a new pipe. Apparently they are going back on their word.

It really sucks for me as I had to pay Yoshimura $250.00 to fix their **** up.

If Muzzy wants their pipe back, they should reimburse me $250.00

Yeah, and i wanted to make the old header into a Turbo manifold..... :(

Has it been confirmed that the problem has truly been corrected. Sounds like they're only repairing the headers for just the people that *****.

Defiantly not good and I was considering Muzzy. Something's wrong with this picture.

Even though I have little business scoring pipes for the FJR, I was really considering the Muzzy's, so if this info is accurate, it is certainly not good news to hear....

Well, heard several of the Muzzy equipped bikes at WFO, and no offense, but I was once again pleased that I had gone with the HS system. Don't get me wrong, had the Muzzy been out a couple months sooner, it would have been on Frank most likely, and the lower cost would have been nice. But, that having been said, I find that I like the sound of Dales system more, the oe twin muff look remains, the build quality is second to none, and no clearance or install issues whatsoever (other than the fact I couldn't use my then installed D&D muffs, not a biggie as it turned out). There's nothing worse than spending the big bucks on a multi-faceted improvement project, only to find that the reality is less than had been hoped for. Hope it works out for ya's.

This takes Muzzy of my list for the FJR, perhaps any bike period. Too bad, I liked the single pipe look and weight savings. Anyone aware of any other single pipe systems for the Feejer ?

I'm with fjrchooser, I like the weight loss from using a single can and the price is right. But if Muzzy don't do right by you guys they might do me wrong too. If Muzzy's screws you, maybe we can talk Dale Walker into making a single can version.
