Ok thanks guys. I'm sure you're right. My buddy should be getting shortly and won't have to think about it anymore.
That might be true but, I'll bet I can score some browny points by telling them that JASON told me to stop by and say, Hi! :yes:After sandwiches, you'll need drinks. My high school classmate and her husband opened this place nearby. It's worth a stop for adult beverages.https://www.thegetawaytampabay.com/No, I can't get you free drinks.
Mt. Dora's not so bad; I used to live close to their when I was a child (in Tavares) before we abandoned FL for CO. I remember there being a great pizza shop...probably gone though. There's a nice little gun shop there that I'd drive down from NC to visit every once in awhile while tending to my father's property in Leesburg.Actually, Cav. Mt Dora is an absolutely gorgeous little town with a picture postcard Main Street and it's a very hilly area. Yeah, there are some of those in central Florida. Next time I pass through, I'll take some pictures.Once you cool off and take a shower, you could "get the map, get the map, "and go Mount Dora!Ok, boys! I am finally on a tow truck heading to MacDill AFB. 4 hours on the side of the road with nowhere to go. In the sun. No water. I will have a shop that's 23 miles away look at it tomorrow. I'm 200 miles from home so, I'm stuck I'll keep you posted.
Thanks, Bob but, I'm not quite sure how long you've been a member of this forum but, I have on many occasions made it perfectly clear that I'm a mechanical genius. As far as the world of electrons go, I'm a complete *****! And damn proud of it. :yes:Vic,Check out post #14 in this thread. Mcatrophy posted a nice schematic of that relay and it's connections.
Surely you can waggle its wires and/or hit tap it with a hammer? Thanks, Bob but, I'm not quite sure how long you've been a member of this forum but, I have on many occasions made it perfectly clear that I'm a mechanical genius. My Master tool box consists of about a couple hundred hammers in all sorts of sizes. :yes:Surely you can waggle its wires and/or hit tap it with a hammer? Thanks, Bob but, I'm not quite sure how long you've been a member of this forum but, I have on many occasions made it perfectly clear that I'm a mechanical genius. Yep! The heat was brutal. Can't wait til September!First your TomTom, and now this! It's been a rough few days for you.Myself, started feeling bad Sunday, and have missed work the last 2 days. Riding in the Devil's breath Saturday, wasn't good for either of us. :swoon:
Brodie, my original switch died just before I found out about this Forum. Thank Goodness that it was at the end of my street. They replaced it with a "new" one like you discribed. It went a long way but, it died mid flight too running around my neighborhood. This is my third one and all the symptoms were the same. Stick the key in turn and nothing. Kept turning and turning until it caught. It's the same scenario for all three. No symptoms of anything else going bad with the bike whats so ever. I guess these switches aren't going to last forever. If in fact it's the switch, I might go ahead and get a spare one for the next time it happens. I'll just have to look up the procedure to replace them. Like I said, I'm NOT an electrician by any stretch of the imagination but, once I know what needs to be replaced, a skilled mechanic can replace it with ease. Fingers crossed!!Is this a re-designed ignition switch, the one with the yellow tag attached to its harness near the connectors?Brodie
In the instrumentation world they are not hammers, they are knockometers. The knuckle dragging millwrights I know refer to them as swinging presses. My Master tool box consists of about a couple hundred hammers in all sorts of sizes.
